1 Bedroom Cottage in Anna Maria

Great 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage on the quiet north end of island. The house is conveniently located and within walking distance (two short blocks) to the beach and close to the intersection of Gladiolus Street/Alamanda Road. This great getaway sleeps up to 4.
The cottage has an open floor plan and it is about 800 sq ft. The bedroom has direct access to a private patio area with washer and dryer. The living room has a sofa, which also becomes a comfortable queen bed. The property has been recently renovated (December 2019) and has a heated pool + spa and landscaping. My favorite spot of the house is the private outdoor shower with hot and cold water. The side door leads to the patio where you will find an outdoor dining area complete with oversized umbrella, outdoor shower, and electric grill. You will also find a beach cart to transport beach essentials to and from the beach.

The house is located on the very desirable quiet north end of the island. Specifically 2 short blocks from the very end. It is very peaceful and beautiful around this quite area with very low traffic, if any at all. You can easily travel across the island on the free trolley, which has many stops throughout the island. There are also many places who offer bikes and golf carts for rent. There are many restaurants, small shops and a Publix supermarket all with in 10 min max driving and reachable by bikes and golf carts. You can take a very short easy walk to the famous Rod and Reel pier/restaurant.

Summary: Very nice property, pool and hot tub outstanding. Everything inside clean and new (newer). Met the owner one day, when he was cleaning the yard, Gustavo was great! Would stay there again. Beach was about a two min. walk.

Summary: Our 7th visit to Turtle Cottage. So relaxing and so close to the beach. Always shop at my favorite thrift shop at Rosen Church. Minnie's Cafe is great for breakfast among many other places. Farmers market was really nice. Enjoyed our stay as always.Steve and GailSeymour, IN

Summary: my Sister and I had a great time. The turtle cottage was a perfect place for us. We love the pool, the hot tub, the outdoor shower and being two blocks from the beach we literally parked our car and walked or rode bikes everywhere. We will definitely stay here again. The location is perfect.

Summary: The property was ready for us upon arrival and check in was a breeze! We arrived the day after the hurricane came through and they did a great job with clean up! Plenty of the bathing towels & beach towels. My kids ended up coming with us and the pull out couch was nice. The pool, hot tub and outside shower were phenomenal. So much privacy!

Summary: Loved the location, walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shops. One major complaint is the bed. It wasn’t a mattress, just several thick foams stacked together. No support and uncomfortably hot. We switched to the pull out sofa bed after two nights which was also uncomfortable. A real grill to use would also be nice.

Summary: This was our third stay at Turtle Cottage. We LOVE it here. A few things are in need of improvement which I shared directly with the property manager during our visit. I would recommend a new mattress though, as this one is incredibly soft and not very comfortable, but I realize that’s a personal preference. Overall, we plan to come back for a 4th time! The location can’t be beat.
