Positive: Love The willows. Warm welcome, clean and fresh. Comfortable beds,. Off road parking. Nice touches of having bread, milk, eggs, butter and a cake!! Fantastic location near the town, park, leisure centre. Hot tub, hot and clean. The host is very accommodating. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Positive: Lots of modern appliances, fast internet, and the hosts had provided essential groceries before our arrival (butter, milk, eggs... even a cake!). Has a real comfy cosy vibe to it. We really enjoyed the hot tub on a hot day, very relaxing. The house is also great walking distance to the town centre of Melton Mowbray.
Negative: The house feels like it needs some TLC; the bathroom door gets a bit stuck/jammed as you open and close it (like kind of scraping along the floor), meaning if you need the loo overnight, you're going to wake up everyone else. The front bedroom is not very soundproof either and, as it seems like Ankle Hill is a busy cut-through, you are going to hear traffic a lot through the night. At one point, I thought the windows had been left open because it was that loud but nope, all closed. Might be worth bringing earplugs if you are audio sensitive/autistic like myself.

Negative: Small details like somewhere to put toiletries in the bathroom, more clothes hanging space, the property was really not as easy for four adults, the small bedroom was very small

Positive: The location was excellent, only 5 minutes walk in to the town. Lots of good restaurants and takeaways . Easy distance to Rutland Water and Uppingham a lovely little town. The castle at Oakham was really interesting with all the horse shoes and a really friendly guide. Will definitely return to the Willows perhaps when the weather is warmer and to take advantage of the garden.
Negative: Some areas need a little bit of maintenance
