Positive: The house is decorated with impeccable taste; everything looks perfect where it is. The breakfast was at a large table with other guests and it was lovely and freshly prepared. The bed was super comfortable, the shower was perfect, the house had a cozy feel and the outdoor area was a great place to relax outside if the weather is good. There is a small gated parking area, which was comforting.
Summary: It was a delightful stopover for a long drive.

Positive: This is a lovely restored building in the historical district of Holly Springs. Rooms and facilities are like staying in your great-grandmother's house but with wifi. The staff was friendly and worked extra-hard to accommodate an unexpectedly large number of guests.
Negative: The noise -- bring earplugs! This is an older home, built when noise was not an issue. Try to avoid rooms that overlook Randolph Street, a surprisingly busy road for such a small town, with an astonishing number of bad mufflers. (Granted, we were there on a Friday night in springtime, and the local hoons must have been out in force.)

Positive: This property was perfectly located halfway between Memphis and Oxford. The rooms were comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, the rate was perfect. We were able to travel quickly and safely between cities for our travel needs.
Negative: It was a beautiful house and there was nothing lacking!

Positive: We liked everything. We stayed at The Wynne House Inn a week ago on our way to South Carolina and enjoyed it so much we stayed there again on our back home. The home is beautiful and full of character; it's spotlessly clean; the furniture is comfortable; the bed in the White Room is heaven; the breakfast, delicious; and our hostess, Rachel, a true Southern delight! We plan to talk our immediate family into joining us there this coming summer on a trip to one of the family hometowns nearby. Book directly through the owners, Stephen and Suzette, and it's less expensive than a booking agency.
Negative: The only thing that proved a challenge for us was the staircase. It's gorgeous, but we're in our 70s and our knees aren't what they used to be! We joked with Rachel that the owners should install one of those automatic chairs that go up and down the staircase! That's alright, though . . . If our knees won't get us up to the second floor, we'll be perfectly happy staying in the guest bedroom on the first floor or in the cottage next door!

Positive: The property was lovely. The employee, Rachel, was amazing, true southern charm and help. We liked the gated security parking and security for the home.
Negative: We did not notice the first room we booked did NOT have an attached bathroom, or know that you had to go into the hallway and then down two steps to the bathroom. There was only one bathrobe in the room for two people, and we were told that was all they had, so that was inconvenient. The ruby room in which we first stayed was dark and a bit dreary, with only a teeny mirror on the wall instead of a dressing table. Rachel told us the second morning about a room downstairs with an attached bath, so we switched to that one, which was far better (we were going to leave and just eat the cost). The owner was there the second morning, and was very defensive about the lovely but dangerous stairs and that I had missed the booking.com note the original room we booked had no bathroom. She was quick to point out “some people just have a bad attitude about everything,” which was less than gracious for a B & B host. She said she hoped we didn’t post a too bad review. The notes there said be to sign the guest book, but only leave good reviews, so we did not sign. The breakfast both days was not as great as we are accustomed to at B & B’s. We just found the owner to exhibit much less southern charm than that of any other B & B host.
Summary: Would probably not stay there again, but Rachel there is a real gem!!

Positive: The Wynne House was an absolutely beautiful updated historic home built in 1872. While the bathrooms have been updated (but still with a period feel), the home has been restored with period furnishings and decor. The home was spotless and oh, so comfortable. Owner Suzette was so accommodating, and Rachel, who prepared a lovely and delicious breakfast for us, was a true southern gem. We enjoyed visiting with her so much that we left later than we had planned.
