Other Policy Lake augusta road is approximately 13k of gravel road from the highland lakes road (a5), up to the lodges remote location within the central plateau conservation area, because of the lodges location within the tasmanian world heritage wilderness area, there is limited phone coverage. there is no wifi, rooms are not equipped with televisions. television is located in the guest lounge, we kindly advise that due to our licensing, only food and beverages provided by the lodge are permitted on the lodge premises.please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. you can use the special requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.

Positive: Extraordinary unique nature in remote area. Bec helped us so much to ensure that we had the best experience!
Negative: No complaints. This lodge is so unique that they are challenging to be self-sufficient in a beautiful yet severe nature. You are not paying for the luxury but the fascinating experience!

Positive: Totally surrounded by wilderness on the Central Plateau. Local walks and short drives gave us access to pristine wilderness from which to see native wildlife. A fun picnic excursion was wonderful beside a fishing shack and surrounded by silence. Magical. Gorgeous sunsets over a nearby lake.
Negative: It would’ve been good to have had access to the internet even for just a couple of hours am/pm to keep in touch with elderly relatives.

Positive: Remote, beautiful location. The lodge was warm, inviting and beautifully decorated. Our just Bec was just wonderful. Both my husband and I felt that Bec really took care of us. We valued her knowledge of the area and appreciated her warmth and hospitality. We were able to see a spotted quoll family up close - this was a wonderful memory that we will hold dear for many years. Thank you Bec for taking such great care of us. The lodge is truly a unique experience but one I will never forget.
