Saltwhistle offers a private setting with beautiful landscaped gardens and a large deck as you sit back to enjoy the picturesque view of the Black Point bay in Northeastern Nova Scotia. The two story house offers a spacious design with three bedrooms and just about every amenity you may need. We are within a five minute drive to the most beautiful light sandy beaches of Nova Scotia. You may walk to the waters edge of the inside bays which surround the area. The property is available for rent on a weekly basis with a discount or as a five day min stay in July and August. Discount of 8% for one week rental. The house comes equipped with high speed Wi-Fi, work desk with keyboard (USB), bedding, barbeque, patio furniture, dishwasher, toaster, wood fireplace, screened in porch, outside fire pit, and TV. Microwave, dishes, dishwasher, drip coffee maker and a Keurig. We have one queen in a front bedroom and one king in the front master bedroom and another queen in the back bedroom. All beds are on second floor. There is air conditioning/heat pump servicing the first floor and fans available on second. Sit on the deck or screened in area and enjoy the gentle breeze, expansive view of water and gardens, bird life and sun rises. There is parking for three cars and we do restrict the number of day time visitors to the property to four. Maximum number of over night guests is 6 total.

Summary: The check-in process was easy. The owner returned messages promptly. The home was clean and well equipped. The yard was well cared for with a view of the bay. The use of a kayak was a bonus. The owner even dropped off toys for our child to play with. No hesitations recommending this property or staying here again ourselves.

Summary: Hurricane Dorian did have an impact on our stay. The power was out for 3 days, the owner was on top of things, we were well supplied with flash lights and extra batteries. The house sits on a hill, beautiful view, we even had deer walk past every morning! The house is well equipped with all that you need. A great place to stay ! Would highly recommend it!

Summary: The house was spacious for the four of us & was very clean and well equipped. Beautiful beaches were nearby and we also used the kayak on the local lake. Mary was very helpful with local information . It was very peaceful/relaxing end to our holiday.

Summary: We stayed here for a week in August and we had a great time. The house offers a lot of comfort and space, even if the weather is not that good. The owner who lives in the area is very helpfull if needed. Good location with New Glasgow offering all necessary shops within 15 minutes driving distance.

Summary: Lovely stay! Large, well equiped house with a beautiful view of the bay. Our family of 4 with 2 teenage boys had plenty of room! Well equipped kitchen. Bedrooms are large and very comfy! Peace of the country but super close to the beach and to New Glasgow. We would definately come back. Many thanks!

Summary: This house was so impressive. As a family of 5 with three young sons ages 10, 7, 4, we were so happy with the opportunity to stay here. The yard is just what our sons needed to run free and the home is incredibly spacious, well equipped (we cooked breakfast and dinner there every night), and the beds were super comfy. There was no detail missed as the owners ensured we had everything we needed to enjoy our country retreat. We were so pleased with our experience and hope to make it a ritual.
