Positive: The summer house is newly built, fresh, and very well maintained. It is set in a green area, not far from the lake, though in our opinion a bit far from Norrtälje for frequent trips back and forth. The garden is beautifully designed, and there is also a lovely sauna, although we unfortunately didn’t have time to use it. The kitchen is well equipped for preparing your own meals, and the living room is cosy and comfortable. Everything was spotless, and the host was responsive and extremely helpful. We especially appreciated their kindness in sending us by post the books we had accidentally left behind.
Negative: It was a bit too warm in the house on some days, but to be fair, the weather was unusually hot during our stay. There is air conditioning in the living room, but it wasn’t strong enough to cool down the entire wooden house after a very hot day, especially not the bedrooms. That said, we believe such high temperatures are not common in the area, so we were likely just unlucky. We also missed having blackout curtains in one of the bedrooms, as the daylight was very long and the sun was already bright early in the morning. We shared this feedback with the host, who was very receptive. The large bed mattress could have been more comfortable, though this is of course a matter of personal preference. We were also unable to charge our electric car, as our charging cable didn’t fit. It might be helpful to add more details about the charging options in the listing description. One more thing to note is that open-air community overnight camps are organized less than 100 meters from the house. These involve groups of people and children, sometimes with open air music, which can be a little loud during the day (though not at night). During our one-week stay, we experienced two such events. It wasn’t very disturbing for us since we mainly stayed in the house at night, but for those seeking complete peace and quiet in summer, it might be worth considering. All in all, despite these minor points, the house is highly recommended for both short and long stays.

Positive: A very modern but cozy house with a beautiful fenced in garden and deck area. Situated in a small rural neighborhood only 15 min drive from Norrtälje. With wooded areas close by for walking. Near the lake with swimming opportunities. Hosts were very friendly and helpful.
Negative: If anything the front door was a bit hard to lock but hosts had left good instructions.
Summary: We really enjoyed our stay in this house and all the interactions with the host.
