The terrain of al Casarico with the Ticino Villa (and another cottage) is very widely known: the size of the (flat) land, the absolutely private location and the strangely beautiful (270 degree) view, make even the local residents of al Casarico praise it as 'the heaven'.
It is the perfect place for nature lovers, with privacy and undisturbed holiday fun in a Mediterranean ambience.
The villa is comfortable with a large, cosy lounge with an open fireplace, a simple but fully equipped kitchen and three chic, spacious bedrooms with attached bathrooms.
On both sides of the house there are patios: Sun or shade, depending on the need. Private pool (9 - 5 m) at the house with shades of grape pergola.
Parking lot is 3 minutes away. A beautiful forest trail leads from the parking lot to the heavenly abode. The concierge will come to pick you up at the car parking upon arrival.
Additional service is possible: breakfast service, cook dinner, shopping.

Summary: What a wonderful holiday I had with my family. Everybody was catered for. Enjoyed the pool, kids for messing about and a nice size for swimming (working off holiday sense) and enjoyed table tennis and the trampoline and lawn good size for a game of badminton. Views from the house are stunning. Nice walks from the house up the hill to Monti Viro and going down to Vira. House very well equipped and very clean. We enjoyed every meal on the veranda around the big table, which sate all of us very comfortably and again with great views. And not to forget my Dog was also very well catered for, with the large garden and we enjoyed our morning walk up the hill. So I can only highly recommend it and hope myself we will be able to return sometime. Many thanks to Verena. Colin & Franziska Smith

Summary: That was our first time abroad with our kids. We stayed at "al Casarico" for a whole week with our 3 daughters, ages 4 to 6 and we had an amazing vacation. The house, as promised, has a beautiful amazing view and it had even more equipment than we needed. The housekeepers were wonderful, very kind and helpful. They showed a great hospitality, kept our privacy and answered any question. The house was very clean and the garden is beautiful. We recommend this villa and we would be more than happy to come back!

Summary: We had fabulous time in al Casarico. The view from the house and the garden is stunning. The lake and the mountains in the daylight are magnificent and the twinkling lights of Locarno at night create magical atmosphere. The pool, tennis table, trampoline and gorgeous garden provide lots of entertainment for all. The housekeepers are very kind, courteous, tactful, discreet and extremely helpful. They were never intrusive but always ready to help. They kept the garden and the pool immaculate. The house was very clean and felt homely, when we arrived. We would definitely recommend this villa and are hoping to visit it again in the future Bozena and Paul, UK

Summary: Last winter we had a wonderful vacation at “al Casarico” in the beautiful area of Ticino. The house is great to spend your winter holiday. It was a nice adventure. You don’t need to leave your place to have a lot of snow fun. We did leave the house for some nice skiing in Bosco Gurin and Nara. Very beautiful ski areas with friendly instructors. Be sites al lot of snow fun you can do other nice outdoor activities, like bike ridding, paragliding, hiking or visited Milano. The view of Locarno and Lago Maggiore is super. Summary: The pictures on this site are no cheat. A small track through the forrest hides this piece of paradise from other people. The view over the lake is breathtaking, the house is furnished with a lot of taste, with soft white towels in the bathrooms. 4 children had there own cosy stable with bunks, seperate from the main house. It's the perfect basecamp for mountainbike tours, canyoning and hiking trips and the ideal place to come home to after a day of sport and adventure. Nice separated terraces, comfortable relaxing deck chairs, barbecue and a beautiful refreshing pool. Warm welcome and assistance by the friendly and discrete caretakers.Ticino is rather crouwded and this property offers an exceptional amount of space, quiet and privacy in this lovely region.

Summary: We spent a wonderful week in the holiday house al Casarico together with family friends. The house offered all the comfort required, with plenty of space for everybody. The children enjoyed the large garden and especially the pool, which kept them busy all day. Our favourite spot before dinner was the "tower", a terrace with a stunning view over the whole region. After dinner, it was by the "blue pool" (the illuminated swimming pool). And during the occasional thunderstorm in the evening, the balcony provided shelter to sit outside and relax after a hot day in the sun. We would thoroughly recommend it and hope to be back very soon!

Summary: This house is on an incredible private spot, with spectacular views over the lago Maggiore. The rooms are very different, but all clean and modern. A huge garden and pool; perfect for kids as well as quiet enough for reading books. All in all a very very comfortable and friendly place to spend a holiday.
