Positive: This was a beautiful house with an amazing view, it was newly renovated keeping the old charm. Most importantly the hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, making our stay very easy and enjoyable.

Positive: We stayed in the Queen villa at Tokuto for 2 nights and wished we had booked for longer. Our hosts,Alan and Reiko, met us from the ferry and made us feel immediately at home. The villa is a beautiful old Japanese house that has been meticulously restored to a high level of comfort. In the fridge for breakfast are fresh eggs, home made strawberry jam, home made bread and other goodies such as plum wine.All the staff are helpful and lovely. They also offer delicious Japanese farm to table dining for guests (book ahead). The combination of charismatic hosts, gorgeous house and idyllic setting on Teshima make this a great place to stay.
Negative: The lack of blinds on the bedroom windows, but not a deal breaker.
Summary: A magical place to stay. Book it!

Positive: The Queen Villa is a gorgeous property with amazing views of Teshima. We are glad we stayed here as we may not have made it to teshima otherwise and exploring that island was a highlight of our trip. Alan and Reiko were superb hosts, providing transportation, great recommendations, and homemade yogurt and bread for breakfast. The property was abundantly comfortable for 4 and we plan to come back. The island is a Great place to bike around and explore and the hosts at the Queen Villa drew us a wonderful map for a personalized guided tour that we loved! Thanks Alan and Reiko!

Positive: This is an unbelievably beautiful property. The gardens are breathtaking and the house has been lovingly restored the bed is very comfortable-the best we slept in 2 weeks in Japan. Allen was a gracious host, helping us around the island with great recommendations. Farm fresh eggs and homemade amazing yogurt, bread, and jams made breakfast very special. This place is worth a trip to Teshima.
Negative: I just wish I had planned to spend more than one night.
Summary: A precious gem of a place that should be the top choice for a stay on Teshima.

Positive: The house belonged once to the richest person in the island. They renovated it to the last detail, preserving all the original elements. You really have the feeling to sleep in a historical monument. The couple running it was extemely gentle, helpfull, dicrete and attentive. They pickup us at the ferry and brought us down to the electric bicycles, and even solved our cash problem (there's only one ATM in the island and is closed on sundays!) Thank you very much for everything!

Positive: The landlord Alan was very enthusiastic. He contacted the itinerary in advance and picked us up at the port, and introduced many local tourist routes in detail, also helped us book an electric bicycle. The hotel has a very traditional Japanese historical atmosphere, and the courtyard is beautifully decorated. The breakfast prepared local strawberries, which are very sweet. The kitchen utensils are complete, with all kinds of exquisite plates and porcelain.
