Summary: We were on a trip to see the national park and chose this hotel. Getting a rental car from the hotel was super easy and the restaurant on site convenient. The air-conditioning worked very well and we had a large room/suite. This is certainly an older hotel, but reasonably maintained. Low water pressure for the shower can be an issue. Be aware that this is some distance from Pago Pago Bay, where much of the other shopping and activity occurs. It’s definitely convenient for the late arrival and departures out of the airport.

Summary: Probably the best place to stay on the Island. rooms are nice but the mattress in our room was super soft and sagging - could use replacing. Rooms are clean and it has a nice pool and restaurant. Hotel is newer (around 20 years old) than any other hotel on the island.

Summary: With very few options, Tradewinds was the best. Very clean, AC was cool, staff was welcoming.

Summary: The room was fine, clean and the people here were very helpful. The continental breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, coffee, tea, muffins, and every day they offered a different soup typical of the island. You could also order items from the menu that you pay for.

Summary: This is the best hotel near the airport - a little tired but just fine. Room was spacious and good linens. Restaurant was small, food was fine. The pool is very nice however only loungers and a few chairs. The staff are all very nice and helpful . One thing I noticed - the manager has taken part of the entranceway for his own private parking spot - the only place to be out of the sun or rain when arriving and departing. To me, all staff should park the farthest away from the entrance leaving closer spots for guests - management should set the example.
