Bedrooms upstairs: two with queens one with two twins and a queen bedroom on the main level; bottom level has sectional couch with large TV and custom bar with 8 barstools. Large picture window with wicker couch and rocking chairs that looks out upon the lake; fire pit and barbeque outside; built in steps to walk in to the water; canoe and kayak can be launched from the dock; paddle around the lake on which there are few power boats at any one time; swim to the raft; lake is spring fed, pristine and stocked with fish; no smoking inside, no pets, and no children under 8 years of age unless otherwise agreed.

Summary: Our diverse group of ages and activity levels had a wonderful time at this home. This home had everything we needed; plenty of room to spread out, canoes, kayaks, a great kitchen and several places to eat. This lake was clean and deep, we floated around for seven days and never saw a weed. Everything we needed was within 10 minutes of this home; Old Sturbridge Villiage, antique shops, multiple hiking trails, breweries, and excellent restaurants. The area is very friendly. We highly reccommend this area and this comfortable home.

Summary: This house could not have been more perfect for our family vacation! We stayed for three weeks and we enjoyed swimming off the dock, paddling the lake in the kayaks, relaxing and eating family meals on the beautiful grounds. Our nights were very comfortable and the kitchen was fully equipped for cooking all of our family meals. Mark and Bonnie were so kind and thoughtful, and we’re always available.

Summary: Perfect for our family reunion. Gorgeous location on the lake. Spectacular sunsets and sunrises. Large enough for family activities with two large living areas on different levels. Well equipped kitchen. Furnishings a little dated but we loved the place and would love to return

Summary: This beautiful home is just as it appears in the listing, and is the perfect spot for anyone looking for a waterfront getaway. The pond is small enough for the water to really warm up, and the kayaks and canoe were easy to use. I rarely leave reviews - even when I should - but wanted to make sure I did this time around since I left vacation feeling so grateful for the kindness of the property owners. We have stayed here before and returned because we were so satisfied with the home and found Bonnie and Mark to be helpful, accommodating, and quick to respond to any question or request. I would recommend this house to anybody looking for a quiet peaceful place to escape.

Summary: The house is spacious and has a very well-stocked kitchen, including cookware, spices and some basic groceries. The lakefront is fabulous - great for swimming, boating and fishing - we feasted on trout and bass from the lake. The kayaks and canoe were a welcome addition. Mark and Bonnie are great hosts, and we really enjoyed our extended family vacation at their place.

Summary: Beautiful property on a beautiful and clean lake. This house had a large yard as well as a lot of shoreline and comfortable distance from neighbors. Even on the weekends the lake was not so busy that kids could not enjoy paddle and swim safely. We liked visibility of the whole lake from the shore as well. Great fishing and a quiet private road for shady walks around part of the lake. The lake is peaceful and scenic but not too far from conveniences either. Good bike riding also not too far away.

Summary: We had a wonderful time at this beautiful lake house! It has everything we needed for the most relaxing vacation we've ever had! We were only 15 minutes from the Brimfield flea market, and that was about all we left the house for! Thank you Bonnie and Mark!

Summary: Our family enjoyed a week at this great house. Our older kids spent a lot of time boating and our younger kids enjoyed swimming and jumping off the dock. The house has everything you need - kitchen is well stocked, beds are comfortable, and there's plenty of room for a family of six to spread out. This rental exceeded our expectations!

Summary: 26 Mt Dan on Big Alum is a comfortable, well stocked property. Everything you need to enjoy your lakeside vacation. The water, just feet from the house, is fantastic for swimming and paddling the kayaks. Also, much fun was had fishing off the dock! We loved our stay on Big Alum!

Summary: This is great “camp” on one of the best lakes in Massachusetts. It has great shoreline access and wonderful outside BBQ facilities. It has a downstairs bar that is huge (and a jukebox). It is a fun place for a vacation — and the host is fantastic and check in was great. I highly recommend!!
