Summary: We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful villa. The location is perfect in the mountains but not far from the coast for some beach time. The pool makes this a great place to hang out all day with a lovely couple of tavernas in walking distance. We had a great stay. The villa could just have done with a few basics such as oil and salt for cooking and some plastic cups for round the pool but that is the only criticism! It is great that there is a clean and towel change half way through your stay as well. ( We stayed for only a week).

Summary: Just the most lovely place to stay! The views and location in a quiet mountain village were amazing, listening to goat and sheep bells waking you up in the morning is amazing! The people in the village are so friendly and helpful (especially Drosia Taverna) and the villa itself was fabulous. Cool inside and a constant temperature so nighttime was great for sleeping (fantastic beds!) and a beautiful outside space. It's also a great location for the beautiful beaches on the south of the island, but not too far from the big road along the top of the island.

Summary: The Villa has been tastefully restored to provide characterful, comfortable and spacious accommodation. Situated in the mountains, it can been cooler than the coast and the pool and outdoor areas are lovely for relaxing after mountain walks. There are some good local tavernas in the village and it's about 20 mins by car down to the beautiful and unspoilt south coast around Hora Skafion.

Summary: Lovely holiday at Imbros! The house was perfect. Imbros is 800m high and a little bit off the coast but for us that was a clear benefit since it was not as hot. The gorge is worth a hike. The village has a few simple but very hospitable taverns. And since the southern coast definitely is worth a trip we were already half way over the mountains... Communication with Nikos and his team/family was very good. I can only recommend this!

Summary: This property is very attractive, the pool is well looked after, communication with the owners is prompt and supportive. We didn't have perfect weather but can't blame anyone for that! You are 35 minutes from some lovely southern beaches and around 40-50 from the north coast (Chania and Rethynmo and some also pleasant beaches). The village is small with a couple of tavernas and mini-markets - bread is available. Drive carefully as there are plenty of wandering goats and sheep! Recommended.

Summary: What a lovely property! We truly enjoyed our stay here. We were surrounded by beautiful scenery and not only did the mountains offer a beautiful backdrop, but also slightly cooler air. Every evening we enjoyed sitting outside the beautiful walnut tree that dominates the front of the house. The house was clean and just as described and we appreciated the regular maid service. Nikos was a great host. They greeted us with some lovely fruit and raki - which quickly became a favourite - and remained in contact to check all was well - which it was. The house is situated in a beautiful part of Crete. It isn't far from the south coast, although the road with its hairpin bends makes it a slightly longer journey, and we enjoyed visits to the beaches. A day in Loutro is highly recommended. Visits to Chania and Rethymnon were about an hour away. More than anything, the locals were extremely friendly and we were very well treated wherever we went. We definitely hope to be back. Thank you.

Summary: We have just retuned from a family holiday to this beautiful place. The pictures are true to life and the accommodation was very safe and secure for young children. The temperature was pleasant and cooler than at the coast. The amenities at the villa were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for our host, who ensured that our stay was a comfortable one. The village had a local feel and there were several tavernas within easy walking distance. The nearest coast was about 20 minutes drive away. All in all a comfortable and relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Thank you for the cake Nikos! Sharman
