Positive: The view from one of the living room windows was fantastic

Negative: The view from the bedrooms was pretty average, none of the rooms are connected so you have to go outside to go to the bathroom, bedroom, living room etc The house is also quite small for the price. The air conditioning for the bedrooms was difficult to navigate with no explanation in the guide.

Summary: While the view from one of the living room windows was great, I think it was overpriced

Positive: Trails End is the perfect location. A super modern, wonderfully designed, and excellently equipped small holiday home that completely won us over! The house is part of Punakaiki Beach Camp and boasts an ideal location near the beach, just a short distance from the Pancake Rocks, and is almost right on the Pororari River Track! The fridge was perfectly stocked for breakfast. Checking in and out was absolutely hassle-free. The Beach Camp also has a restaurant that comes highly recommended, and a highlight is Peter with his little snack stand. Alongside cheerful conversation, he serves up absolutely must-try whitebait fritters—delicious!

Negative: Nothing! The only thing that took a bit of getting used to—and the reason for a slight deduction in our rating—is that all the rooms in the house, including the bathroom, are only accessible from the outside, as they are arranged in a row. However, this would by no means stop us from coming back and staying even longer!

Positive: Absolutely stunning little spot with breathtaking views! Platter and fresh bread on arrival was An amazing surprise and perfect for 3 hungry kids.

Negative: A tad hot without aircon in rooms, window can be opened but mosquito repellant suggested.

Positive: Fantastic location at the end of the Paparoa walk. Really well set up for 2 couples. Comfy beds and high quality finishes Continental breakfast was outstanding with homemade stewed apples/pears and data honey.
