Self-contained cottage in a tranquil bush setting with abundant wildlife and panoramic views over the surrounding rural landscape including Mount Panorama, Bathurst and the Great Dividing Range. Enjoy the peaceful setting and a variety of wildlife including wallabies, kangaroos, koalas, echidnas and owls. The cottage is located 20 minutes drive on a sealed road from Bathurst and 8km from the store and pub at Perthville. Accommodation consists of 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen and dining, bathroom and laundry. The cottage sleeps 4 people with a queen bed in the main bedroom and two beds in the 2nd bedroom (1 single bed + 1 roll-away bed).
Attractions in the area include the historic village of Rockley, Chifley Dam, Vale Creek Winery and the Abercrombie Caves.
The gravel driveway is steep and is not suitable for vehicles with a low ground clearance such as sports cars. The Cottage is not air conditioned.

Summary: We stayed here for two nights as my son was playing soccer in Bathurst - the house was approx. 20 min drive to Bathurst, so a convenient location, as long as you have a four wheel drive-type vehicle! Had everything we needed for our short stay - we weren't there much, mostly to shower and sleep. The house is clean, tidy and had a microwave, kettle, bedding, a fan and all the basic needs. The beds were comfy and the sheets/bedding was all so clean! Directions to the property were pretty easy to follow. Thank you, we were very happy with our accommodation.

Summary: Loved our stay at Rockley Mount. The cottage is cosy, heater works great, and the views especially from the front porch are spectacular. Kangaroos visiting right on our door step. There's enough to do around the area to keep you busy for a weekend, including a highly recommended winery within a 10 min drive. It seems worth mentioning that the location is remote and really quiet, however you can hear the cars on the road down in the valley quite clearly. The one thing missing to make it the perfect rustic get away is either a fire pit outside (for times when fire danger is low) or a wood combustion stove inside. Overall a great weekend away.
