For Peace and tranquillity in the beautiful , Western Loire, a recently refurbished, rural ,self-catering gite with private garden and barbecue available, set in one of the most prettiest villages in the region. . Ideal for couples in search of relaxation in a romantic location. The perfect area to get away from it all and enjoy walking, cycling and fantastic bird watching, including buzzards, kestrels, sparrow hawks, hoopoe, swallows amongst many others.
The Gite: The cottage at Les Hetres has been tastefully developed from an old country barn into a secluded, luxury, self-catering holiday home. The accommodation offered is well-equipped ,suitable for couples .
The cottage has central heating and is designed open-plan with good size living/dining, bedroom area and a separate bathroom.
The dining area/lounge has a table and 4 chairs plus a sofa bed settee.
The kitchen is equipped with a cooker, including gas hob, electric oven, grill and cooker hood; fridge with small freezer section, microwave, oven, coffee maker, kettle, plus a full range of kitchen cupboards for storage and sink unit.
Outside is a private patio complete with bench table and chairs plus a barbecue. There is a lawned garden adjacent to the patio and plenty of parking is available outside.
The owners are always available on site for help and advice. Area: Within 60 minutes drive from Les Hetres are the 3 major towns of Angers, Rennes and Nantes with excellent shops and restaurants. Each town also has an airport with daily flights to and from the U.K.
There are market towns all around with a market most days of the week.
The Loire region is renowned for its many beautiful chateaux and gardens, plus there are plenty of museums and local attractions to be visited in the area.
The pretty ferry port and seaside resort at St Malo is a pleasant 75 minutes drive from Les Hetres.

Summary: A very comfortable stay a well equipped Gite everything you could want and as described a very peaceful location. Very friendly and helpful host and village idyllic in this picturesque area of Maine en Loire . Very enjoyable and recommended.

Summary: The gite was comfortable, clean and well equipped. The owners are lovely - very friendly, approachable and helpful but fully respecting of our privacy. The views from the private garden are to die for. The only disadvantage for us was the lack of a bar or cafe that we could walk to, but there are plenty of such facilities in nearby Pouance about five minutes drive away. This is the compromise when you want complete peace and quiet and we were very happy to make that choice.

Summary: We've just returned from a fabulous stay, the Gite was perfectly set out, and with some very comfy chairs in the garden it was lovely for relaxing at the end of a busy day checking out the surrounding area!

Summary: We had a great stay at the gite with our dog. The gite was spotless and had everything you would want, with great outdoor space. Location was great to, not to far away from lots of amenities, but in a great peaceful location. Would highly recommend to anyone. Brenton and sharon Sweeney, Ireland

Summary: The place is immaculate, the fittings and furnishings of superior quality, the view is lovely, and so are the owners. No need to take anything except your clothes, everything provided. Only one downside, which was the picture and suggestion of a separate bedroom on your own advertisement the bedroomwhich I assumed was a separate room, So was surprised to find it was one big room with the sofa bed with sofa bed 10 ft away, no problem for travelling with small children but not suitable for sharing with an adult with no privacy at all. As we are in our 70s and our daughter 50s all rather embarrassing! But we did have an otherwise lovely break!

Summary: Clean, tidy. Uncomplicated. Great if you have a dog. Not troubled by owners but there if you need them. As stated, a little quiet corner of France during uncertain times. Would recommend.

Summary: Our 12 night stay at les Hetres was stunning, a beautiful little gite in a quiet location but close to all amenities and local attractions. Many fantastic restaurants within a short drive from.the restsurant and beyond if ur feeling adventurous. If it's a quiet relaxing break u are looking for les Hetres is for you. Rita and Alan were very welcoming and accommodating hosts along with Baxter their English Setter. Can't reccomend this place high enough already looking fwd to our next visit. Summary: A true sense of being at home in a lovely rural setting. Hosts Rita & Alan were welcoming, knowledgeable about the area and available when needed. Ideal location for touring the region or for relaxing with a book and a glass of wine. Very well maintained and attractive property suitable for couple/ couple & dog/ couple, child and dog. Highly recommend

Summary: A lovely gite with beautiful wooden beams. Perfect size for two and a dog. A lovely view of the surrounding countryside from the garden. Absolutely lovely hosts who do everything they can to ensure you have a relaxing holiday, including looking after our dog whilst we were at a wedding. Recommend for anyone wanting a quiet walking or cycling holiday.
