Positive: The setting is peaceful and scenic. The library was a lovely surprise with a good collection of books. We enjoyed spotting wildlife around the grounds. Some moments were genuinely relaxing.
Negative: The private pool in the Tri Villa didn’t work properly the entire stay, despite reporting it. We were also overcharged for food even though the menu said tax and service charge were included. Slow response to issues, poor maintenance (lights not working, sockets failing), and the checkout experience left a bad final impression.
Summary: A peaceful setting with potential, but let down by poor maintenance and frustrating service issues.

Positive: What an amazing location and stunning villa overlooking the lake. Absolutely everything you could ask for in true luxury 5+ star accommodation. A beautiful infinity pool overlooking lake kogalla. Fantastic food and lovely attentive staff. We wish we had stayed longer . (There was also a great gym, yoga studio and library which was unexpected). We came in the rainy season but it was fabulous with a great seating area when it did happen to rain. Don’t let the time of year deter you. Also why go to a huge impersonal and boring resort when this is on offer?
Negative: Nothing - everything exceptional
Summary: Absolutely 5 star luxury including amazing accomodation, service and amenities such as infinity pool overlooking a beaut

Positive: Really beautiful design and layout. The pool is just fabulous- not very clean though
Negative: Started the day beautifully around late afternoon when we checked into the water tower rooms. The location and pool are spectacular. Then it rained and things went haywire. We were bitten by bugs or ants through the night in the higher room of the water tower. Finally woke up and stayed awake from 225 am till late morning. My daughter had red bites all over her body and I had them all over my chin. Staff on duty were helpful with ointment and some sandwiches but overall having spent 247 USD for one night stay for 2 and a small dinner I would've preferred not to be bitten. No refund was offered.
Summary: Wonderful gem but prepare to be bitten.carry bug spray or mosquito repellant

Positive: Currently writing this review from Tri's gorgeous library as we wait for our lift to the airport and could not be sadder to be leaving! This was the final destination on our 2-week Sri Lankan honeymoon and was booked last minute after we decided against our original hotel due to some concerning reviews. We are SO glad to have ended up at Tri. It is a pure paradise with exceptional staff, stunning rooms, beautiful grounds and delicious food. We loved the focus on sustainability and integration with nature - there are no plastic bottles or TVs in the rooms here! Our entire stay has been a dream; full of beautiful scenery, luxurious massages, and delicious food, and has ensured we will be (reluctantly) returning home relaxed and rejuvenated. We cannot wait to stay here again in the future!!!
Negative: Impossible to dislike anything about this place!!! (The road to the resort is a bit narrow and bumpy so just make sure you/your driver is careful!)

The service was excellent, the staff was friendly and professional, always available to assist with any request. The cleanliness was impeccable, every corner of the hotel was well-maintained and tidy. The location is perfect – quiet and secluded, exactly what we needed to relax and escape. Additionally, the hotel's restaurant was outstanding – the food was delicious, and we enjoyed every meal. A wonderful experience that makes us want to come back again!

Positive: Amazing nature, views and good facilities. The staff were very welcoming and responded fairly quickly to requests
Negative: Not much options for breakfast. Weird insects around but its a jungle so i had to expect that 😅
