Positive: I like the pleasant gentleman that runs the establishment. I like the historical significance of Tucumcari.

Negative: The thing I don't like is that I-40 directed traffic away from a cool town that depended on tourism to prosper.

Positive: Tri-Star Inn is a good value hotel. It is easy in and off I 40 and very quiet place to sleep all night. We had a basic room with two queen beds that were comfortable. The heat worked great.

Negative: Probably built in the 50s the property really shows its age. If there was Wi-Fi, we did not know the password. No cable TV just something off of an antenna.

Summary: Historic Route 66 Hotel is a good basic place to sleep for a night

Positive: The owner was very nice, and the room was pretty spacious. Bathroom was very clean.

Negative: It's not the fault of the establishment, but ours was the only car in the lot, so we suspect we were the only ones there. The lot was very dark and it was kind of unnerving. I'm glad I was not on a solo trip this time. The fridge was unplugged and therefore not cold, and the wifi was very slow and went out a few times.

Negative: This inn is setting into the sunset. Mike is a great guy tying to make the best of an aging facility that is well past its prime. If you’re into nostalgia this may be the place for you.

Positive: Always spotlessly clean. It’s an older hotel but is maintained beautifully. Staff at the front desk extremely helpful, professional, courteous and kind. It’s obvious they care about the property and keeping it fresh. They know exactly how to welcome a weary traveler. I got a great night’s sleep after a tough day of driving. Quiet and comfortable!

Negative: Nothing.

Positive: Staff was incredibly nice and welcoming. I love the lobby and they rooms being different buildings, there's a good sense of privacy. Slightly away from town so that adds to the quiet and privacy. You can park right outside your room for minimal luggage carrying. The room was spacious (almost amusingly so) for one person and the air conditioning worked real well and was already cold out there in the desert. Everything was clean and the bed was super comfy. Bathroom was large enough to move freely, and the shower was clean and roomy. Older place that is obviously well cared for. Several different lighting options that are relaxing. The lobby building had a bar and billiards area available.

Negative: Only slight issue I had was the availability of electrical outlets to charge my phone etc. They are behind furniture so you have to look, and there isn't one by the bed.

Summary: Would come back anytime.
