Summary: This home was a great place to stay, conveniently located in Winter Garden, Florida. My husband and I stayed here for a month. It felt like home. The location was perfect a short drive to all amenities, shopping, and easy access to paddling and cycling trails. The home is situated at the end of a quiet street, on John Lake, surrounded by vegetation, lots of water birds on the shoreline, and the sunsets were stunning. It was stocked with all the essentials, no need to bring anything but personal items, clothing and food, everything else is included. The owner Dee was an excellent host, she met us on arrival, provided a tour with helpful hints to help us settle in. She was consistently available and responded quickly to our questions. We were extremely impressed with our stay and hopefully we will return. We would absolutely recommend.

Summary: This home is an absolute gem. Tucked away in a tiny neighborhood, it’s possible to feel like you’re in your own secluded paradise (and yet you’re no more than 10-20 minutes from dozens of restaurants , shops, and other activities). The house itself is very spacious and comfortable. The views are unparalleled — I made sure I was home every night for the stunning sunsets. Lots of wildlife visitors as well, you don’t even have to leave the property to find your entertainment. Dee was a great host — very communicative and has some of the best stories I’ve heard. I will definitely be back!

Summary: My daughter loved the tree swings and going canoeing on Lake John. The view of the sunset was beautiful and we were visited by many local wildlife. Lots of antiques and family history that makes this house truly unique. We extended 2 times and the host was very helpful. Would recommend!

Summary: This was our first vacation in over 21/2 years that included my husband’s battle with cancer and Covid. This lakeside retreat was perfect. The swing under the ancient oak, the beautiful sunsets, bountiful bird life, rides on the lake, and plentiful fishing were wonderful. The house itself is like coming home because of the evidence of four generations of love. Sheer bliss for us. On a practical note, the home is immaculate, roomy, the kitchen well equipped and the master bed was comfy. The location is extremely convenient to grocery stores, restaurants, etc. We’re already looking forward to a next visit.

Summary: The house and grounds are lovely, and nature abounds. Overall it could use some well-needed TLC. Many little things (holes in sheets, overgrown weeds, failing appliances and septic) were handled but could have been avoided. Dee tried to compensate in other ways, which were greatly appreciated.
