Positive: Very good location: Vilanova is about half way between Barcelona and Tarragona, and not far from the Catalan inland villages. It's an easy drive or train ride. The apartment is also in great location, close to the beach and the train station. Vilanova itself is a nice town. The apartment was well stocked and organised (furniture, furnishing, consumables). Mark, the host, is helpful and is flexible (with check-in/out), for as long as you communicate with him.

Negative: The Wi-Fi worked well in the living room (where the modem is located), however, it was barely connecting in 2 out of the 3 bedrooms and dropping regularly in the master bedroom. Not great, especially with teenagers. I enquired with the host, who advised that the modem couldn't be moved due to cable connections, and that he used to have two extenders in the bedrooms but, as they got stolen by previous guests, he would not provide those anymore. The bathroom door and the internal balcony (used as laundry) door both open inwards onto the narrow corridor, which a bit of a hazard. The laundry door is tricky to close, as the lock is installed the wrong way. None of the two air conditioning split systems outdoor units are connected to drainage. But rather the condensation water waste is diverted into a 4l drum water bottle, in each of the balconies, and need to be emptied at least daily if using the cooling air conditioning.
