Positive: Our stay @ Turaco Guest House was amazing. The hosts were friendly,attentive and responded without delay to any queries we had during our booking. Marlize is absolutely wonderful 🌼, she assisted us with the booking of our activities , and the breakfast buffet was really good. Positive: After recent life stresses (not forgetting our busy city lives) – we booked in at the ‘Turaco Guest House’ in tropical St. Lucia for a much-needed break-away. The guest house is named after one of my favourite birds – the beautiful and colourful ‘Turaco’ (the Natal Loerie) and is located in an attractively verdant street. My avian-affinity beside - the guest house lived-up to all my expectations for a relaxing and restorative stay. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our hosts and escorted to our stylishly-decorated unit. Turaco is owner-managed by team - Marlize and Johan. Our accommodation was admirably spacious, spotlessly-clean, in immaculate condition and fully-equipped with all that is necessary for a comfortable and peaceful stay. We enjoyed tasty, well-prepared and filling breakfasts overlooking the bright-blue swimming pool. May I recommend the crumpets and crepes. Our host Johan was well-informed and suggested several local restaurants where we could eat in the evenings and the best routes to take in the game reserve. He also graciously booked a trip for us on Lake St. Lucia to see the hippos and the birdlife.

Positive: What a little gem! A very warm welcome, super clean rooms in perfect condition and a lovely breakfast! The little KitKat perk is one of the signs they care about you, Hosts are very accommodating! Wished we would have stayed longer in the region with the fantastic swims in cape Vidal and excellent wildlife spotting.

Positive: The property is immaculately kept. The hostess is helpful and friendly. Her attention to the finer details can be noted right through the property from the thoughtful emergency light accessible to the guests, ironing board and iron in each room, quality of linen and blankets, designated smoking facilities and firm hands on supervision. Beautiful gardens and pool area creates an ambiance for relaxation.
Negative: The property has implemented strict rules to ensure that no guest’s experience noise or unacceptable/inappropriate behaviour which is necessary but also creates a very quiet atmosphere which not all may enjoy, however, one can enjoy the sounds of the nature around which is appealing for others.
Summary: Rejuvenated and happy with our choice to stay at Turaco and we’ll definitely return again.

Positive: My husband and I had a very comfortable 2 nights stay at Turaco Guesthouse. It is a lovely guesthouse and it is extremely well kept. Our room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The beds are very comfortable and the linen is good quality. It is also situated in a nice quiet street. The breakfasts were good, offering something for everyone.
