Summary: We rented both cabins for our large family. They were clean and very well appointed. You almost need for nothing other than food. Location is great and if you have a boat, perfect location as your very close to many public launch sites and state parks. Not a real view of the lake but didn’t matter in the end. Would definitely recommend

Summary: Two beautifully situated cottages on a big, very private lot. Lots of green space for kids to run around and play games; firepit, 2 grills. Bunk house with music stream was very useful; table tennis, corn hole, beach chairs, noodles. Cottages have everything a family would need for a week. Coffee station was a vey nice touch! In each cottage, one of the bedrooms is a walk-through bedroom. One of the cottages has a sunroom overlooking the patio. AC units in living room and dinning room only. No AC in bedrooms. On hotter days, we had to keep bedroom doors open at night to let cool air in from the living room. On chillier nights, opening the windows in the bedroom sufficed. There is a walk/bike trail along the lake, very nice! The beach was disappointing. While you can swim, there is no room to sit or put beach blankets on the beach as it is overgrown with grass and bushes. Would be nice to have a sandy beach to spend a day on Mullett lake. So instead, we went to Sturgeon Bay ( 40min) and Burt Lake Beach ( 15min), both of which were very clean, not crowded and wonderful for kids to play in the sand. We went to Charlevax town for a Mushroom House Tour, a day trip to Pictured Rock and to Mackinaw island. Nice place for a family vacation. There is another renal 7min drive up the road by the same owner, to accommodate bigger groups.

Summary: Loved the location close to so many family activities, we spent our time on Mullet lake, exploring Mackinac Island, shopping in Petosky, and cruising Black River… so many things to do!! Our family loved having s’mores by the campfire and game night in the bunkhouse. Appreciate all the extras provided made our stay away from home more comfortable and easy!!

Summary: The bunkhouse was a nice addition, especially when the weather wasn’t great. The beach was great for swimming. There really wasn’t a good place to place beach blankets so that the smaller kids could romp and play in the sand. The Cheboygen area was beautiful. Lots to see and do!

Summary: Charming, very clean cottages. We shared the two cabins, our family of four in the Lodge and 3 other family members in the Sea Breeze. Having the entire property was terrific! The shared space was wonderful, we had fires every night we could, the fire pit area is awesome! The bunk house is SUPER! We played all of the yard games and ping pong a lot, being able to stream our music in the bunkhouse was great! The cottages each have 3 separate bedrooms! The cottages have really nice lake access just a short stroll away, nice beach and great dock. We enjoyed day trips to Presque Isle, Mackinac Island, Petoskey, Indian River and Torch Lake. We had a wonderful experience at Headlands International Dark Sky Park(plan to make this trip!) We prepared a few meals at the cottages, the grills are an added bonus and the kitchens are very well equipped with all you need. The coffee station is such a wonderful addition, it was awesome to wake up, make coffee (the hosts offer a wide variety of coffee options) and sit together on one of the decks or on the lawn, (very nice green space) and ease into the day, a real plus! We enjoyed several local restaurants: Cafe Noka, Breakers, Mulligan’s and Hoppies-all great local places and good food. Do not miss the grilled cinnamon roll at Cafe Noka (arrive early before they are gone). Cute, close local grocer’s and tasty local cherry stands close by. Of course there are multiple ice cream destinations too! Wonderful spot to share with family, time together and have privacy too. Our hosts were very responsive while booking and have everything set up so well, we didn’t need to ask them for anything during our week. They have thought of everything and then some!! So many special touches! Thank you for all the thought you put in to this rental, all the extras are truly appreciated! Thank you for providing a really fun getaway! We will remember you next time we visit the area!
