Positive: Perfectly appointed self contained private annexe that had all the comforts we needed for our short stay. Views from the bedroom and lounge windows were lovely. Had a really restful and tranquil feel. Check-in was very simple and although didn’t meet the host, found her to be very warm and welcoming on the phone.

Positive: Really quiet location with parking. The host, Philipa, was very friendly. Ideal location for surfing beaches. Very clean and had everything we needed for our short stay. A really peaceful break, wish we had stayed longer as the weather was great! Lots of info and maps for walks and things to do.
Negative: No cons apart from Wales' new 20mph speed limit!

Positive: The property was attractively furnished, very comfortable, warm and well equipped (cooked a full Christmas Dinner in the kitchen with no problem) and the owner had thoughtfully provided a Christmas tree and fairy lights. The conservatory/porch was useful for wellies and a damp dog! Very pretty 15 min walk on tarmac paths from nearby down to picturesque Lower Solva, the Quay and pubs. Esp. liked the "Hats and Barrels". Also an amazingly well stocked village shop nearby with mountains of fresh veg and fruit.
Summary: We had a perfect Christmas stay in a lovely house, in a beautiful location with great walks.

Positive: Location was perfect and only a 15 minute walk into the village centre where we found two good places to eat. It was only a short drive to reach the beautiful coast path and the city of St David's. We were very fortunate with the weather so were able to spend time on the lovely beaches which were all within a short drive. A perfect stay in every way.
Summary: I would highly recommend Ty Aelwyd as a holiday choice.

Positive: Lovely self-contained annexe with your own private entrance, nice fenced-in area for the dog. Great soundproofing, well equiped and a very quiet area. The host did not intrude during our stay, however we met her in the front garden when we returned from a day out. Very nice lady. You must give the Cambrian Inn a try, nice beer, lovely food and although the welcomebook says tgey are not dog friendly there are new hosts and they allowedour dog in..
Negative: It's a bit of an uphill walk back from local pubs and restaurants, OK unless you want to have a drink with your meal. A small price to pay for a lovely area and great accommodation.
