Positive: Great location, breakfast with stunning mountain view included, excellent staff (thanks Olivier and team!) who helped with everything (organizing tours, drivers, food and water etc.), dinner available. We especially liked the inspiring conversations with the staff in a cosy chillout area in the evenings. Authentic experience!
Negative: Rooms not well equipped, bathroom not comfortable (lights not functional, hardly any water in the sink, after showering bathroom is flooded), quite high price for very rustic rooms and dinner.

Positive: If you are looking for luxury hotels go somewhere else but if it is authenticity that you want, you found the right spot. We woke up with the view over all of the volcanoes, the place is simple but lovely. Situated near a village where you can easily go for a walk. Olivier made our stay very special with his kindness and sweet attentions ( fire, blankets, hot tea ..) and Michael is doing everything he can to organise our stay ( car with driver, paperwork for the parcs, advices ... ) The breakfast is stunning with fresh fruits and pretty view . The dinner plate is huge ! Can't recommend more .
Negative: The water of the shower doesn't go away easily

Positive: We had an absolutely fantastic stay! From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed by Michael, who kindly picked us up in town since the place isn’t easily found on Google. The accommodation boasts breathtaking views of the volcanoes. The rooms are simple but spacious, offering everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Moreover, the food was great. Rita prepared each meal with such love and care. Breakfast was always on time, and we were delighted to enjoy it in the beautiful garden, even before heading out for our Gorilla and Golden Monkey adventure. Dinner was served in a cozy outdoor meeting area which felt like a special experience every night with the charcoal heater. Michael, Jean Damour, and Frederik often joined us for a chat, making us feel like part of the family. We left with wonderful memories and highly recommend this place!
Negative: When taking a shower the whole bathroom floor stayed wet.

Positive: The staff is the best, they are super welcoming and friendly. We had a nice chat at the garden with the volcanoes surrounding us. What a great view!!!

Positive: The food was very good, basic meals but very plentiful. A big plate of fresh fruit for breakfast along with eggs and bread. They made potatoes for me at my request. Served out on a table by the gorgeous view. It was wonderful.
Negative: The bathroom floor stayed wet after the shower.
Summary: For simple, affordable accommodation near the park this place is exceptional. All needs met!

Positive: Olivier and his colleagues couldn't have been more friendly and more helpful. Beforehand communication was good, clear and helpful.The accommodation is modest and very basic, but this is to be expected. The view, the service, the friendliness, the atmosphere - all of it is off the charts. We loved the view, the little fire brought to us in the evenings, the simple but delicious meals we booked extra and the breakfast with the volcano view. Olivier and colleagues helped booked a hike and jeep to get us there - all was taken care of. We felt priviliged to be part of the dream of Olivier and would recommend this place to anyone who would like to stay off the beaten track, is not expecting a lot of luxury but does love great service.
Negative: We couldn't find the place very easily - had to ask for directions a few times to people on the street (our phones had no coverage). But this can easily be solved by asking clear directions beforehand!
Summary: Great service, great atmosphere, off the beaten track - simple but perfect.

Positive: The location of the place is good , the staff is awesome and try their best to make sure that your stay will be the best , from the time we booked the manager was always there for us ! He is very helpful and open for all the request you can be having before and after reaching to the place ! All the Tours which were done was the best experience we ever had from Akagera game driving experience in Eastern part of the country to the gorilla trekking trip in Volcanoes National park ! and all the trips were organized by Volcanoes Over View Safaris which also owns Under Volcanoes View Guest House ! The food of the place is pretty delicious they go beyond to know that you got satisfied with the Rwandan local dishes which re really beautiful , The prices of the trips are good except the high price of gorilla which is $1500 but it was okay because i knew this 2 years before coming so the price of the accommodation , food and drinks are all good and affordable for everyone ! The rooms are super beautiful simple rooms which are equipped with amazing decorations and all the facilities , we had an high speed internet in our room , hot water for shower as well as nice and very clean towels which was important to us ! 5 stars can be rated to this amazing place and we cant wait to recommend and looking forward to coming back in 2025

Positive: We had a marvelous stay at Under Under Volcanoes View , the staff were extremely accommodating , the rooms were clean and comfortable . let shut up for Michael the manager he went over and beyond to help make our stay and trips enjoyable ! The hiking trip we did in Bisoke was perfect and the scenic walk and caves exploration trip we had was also relaxing and led us got connected to the real life of the community living very close to volcanoes national park , the prices of the accommodation is very good and awesomely unique compared to other places around , the food was delicious and $12 for such kind of dish is pretty cheap i say this because i have seen some guest like me who mentioned that the price of the food here is expensive not really i understand that the African restaurant are cheap and if we are coming to Africa we expect the cheap food but we should value what we got appreciate , with the delicious food i had here i should have paid triple of the price home , so everything i encountered here was good value ! Rwanda is the best country to visit , safe , clean and green
