Positive: The location and property are brilliant. The hosts have made a huge effort to make it this way. Since my last stay, it's clear there have been some minor tweaks and changes, evidence that it's well looked after and cared for. I stay at properties and hotels all over, and this is one of the very best.
Negative: Absolutely nothing not to like. Yes mobile signal is challenging, but there is WiFi, if you absolutely must make a call, a 30 second walk outside will give you sufficient signal.

Positive: Beautifully dressed for Christmas (including mince pies!). Comfortable beds. Clean. Well equipped kitchen with tea, coffee, salt & pepper. Log fire. Historic and characterful property. Remote location in a small hamlet near family. Two en-suite bedrooms with soap, showergel, shampoo and conditioner. Downstairs shower room and downstairs sofa bed. Comfortable sofa for three/four and snuggle chair for two small ones. Plenty of parking in the small field outside the door.
Negative: For us, the barn was a little cold in late December (windy weather with outside temp of 7). The underfloor heating is controlled remotely by the host. The fan radiators in the bedrooms were noisy intermittently throughout the night. The beams in the bedroom and en suite until we got used to avoiding them.
Summary: Relaxing, well equipped, characterful barn.

Positive: Beautiful barn😊. It was lovely to have separate bathrooms per couple. It was very clean and there was nothing we didn't have in regards to cooking. All in all a perfect stay.
Negative: The location, although perfect if you're travelling by car could be quite remote for taxis. The low beams could be a hazard although by day 2 we had all learnt our lessons
Summary: Beautiful
