The Red Barn warmly invites you to a quality, self catering experience and an opportunity for social distancing in 5 acres of woodland. Our home is your home for your holiday, enjoy a quiet, relaxing time any season from the deck or the hot tub. Spend valuable time with your family and friends with our facilities offering bathrooms on each of the three floors.
The Red Barn is just 14 miles from the Stowe Mountain area, where the activities are vast from skiing, snowboarding, sleigh rides, winter walking and ice skating in the winter, to a world class water wonderland at Smugglers Notch in the summer. Lake Elmore and The National State Park is just a 1 mile walk away from the Red Barn for swimming, kayaking and hiking up Elmore mountain, overlooking the lake. We have a few bicycles at The Red Barn and more rentals in Morrisville such as bicycles, kayaks skis in the area for you to use, and ample space at the barn for storage of these articles.
Our home boasts five spacious bedrooms on 3 floors with a bathroom on each floor, the house sleeps 11 people. The loft houses one queen bed and two twin beds with a bathroom. The ground floor a queen bedroom, bathroom, fully fitted kitchen with an eating area & two bar stools, a large table and 8 chairs, whilst the lounge area provides welcoming comfort on two large sofas, a love nest and the log burning stove, and a 70" Smart Sony TV/DVD and Soundbar. (which connects via bluetooth to a number of different devices such as iPhone/IPad etc. The basement is an ideal den for the young adults in your party, with a queen bedroom, bedroom two (with a single and queen beds) and a lounge area with large sofas as a Cinema type facility, and a separate queen size sofa/sleeper, large chair, board games. ping pong table, TV/DVD/computer play station and games. The laundry facilities are also in the basement control room and include new washing machine and separate tumble dryer, Dyson vacuum and a central vacuum system.
For the shoppers in your party, Burlington is a vibrant city with a large range of shops. Stowe Village provides a quaint shopping experience and the capital city of Vermont, Montpelier is only 30 minutes away. Come and enjoy the unique art and craft experience of Vermont including a Woody Jackson painting of the Red Barn.

Summary: The Red Barn is perfect for our group, this is our 2nd time there. Plenty of room in both the house and property, where we can sit out by fire or use the hot tub, and not worry about the closeness of any neighbors if were up a little late. Having the spacious barn for activities if foul weather is also a definite plus

Summary: My siblings and I stayed at the Red Barn to attend an extended family reunion at Lake Elmore State Park. It was the perfect location and it is a beautiful home. We had plenty of room and everything we needed. The barn was an added bonus with the ping pong and basketball hoop. We’d stay there again.

Summary: Our family of about 40 gathered at Lake Elmore for a reunion. My family of 5 adults and one 18 month old stayed at The Red Barn. It was the perfect size, nice location to the lake, plenty of beds, a pack and play and a welled needed baby gate we put to use. Barn was fun for baby to run around in and shooting hoop for adults.We didn’t use hot tub but there is one there. Nice size deck and gas grill. Unfortunately the deck umbrella was broken but again we didn’t need. Host was quick to answer questions. Overall I would recommend if you want to be near the lake. Big screen TV’s nice as well.

Summary: Our family had a wonderful week long stay at this home in late August. The home was comfortable and clean, with plenty of spaces for everyone to sleep and hang out. Our two kids LOVED the barn with the chance to play ping pong and basketball; what a unique and fun feature! The large yard was awesome for playing too, and the hot tub was a treat! The house itself is beautiful and of high quality (gorgeous wood throughout, nice furniture, etc.). The beds were very comfortable - some of the comfiest we've ever had at a rental home. Both the owner and property manager were extremely responsive anytime we had a question, which we greatly appreciated. All in all, we highly recommend this rental if you're looking for a unique and memorable Vermont vacation!

Summary: The check in and check out process were both extremely easy. Everything we needed to know was in the email and there was not an excessive amount of instructions to follow. The property was clean, had comfortable beds and the kitchen was well stocked. We had everything we needed. In a perfect world the property would have been closer to Stowe mountain - it was about a 30 minute drive for us. Overall a great property to stay at. Would recommend and stay again.

Summary: Property was great and fit all of our needs for a ski getaway. The only issue we ran into, it’s listed as a 5 bedroom but there are really 4 bedrooms. We ran into issues splitting our group up due to this issue. Great place overall!

Summary: Thank you for sharing your beautiful house with us! The basketball and ping pong were especially big hits with our kids (ages 10-14) and the layout of the space gave each family plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was great for cooking for our crowd of 8 and we enjoyed the remote quietness of the location while still being an easy drive into Stowe and Morristown. Only negative was the occasional mouse which we spotted in both the kitchen and lower level, but we expect he/she may have snuck in during our comings and goings from the attached barn. That said, you’re in the country amongst wildlife so it would be nearly impossible to be mouse free in such a location I’d imagine! Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and had a memorable getaway!
