Summary: Wonderful stay in Poberschau. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating giving us lots of information on the local attractions. The apartment was clean, quiet, and had everything we needed for our stay of five days. We had a beautiful view overlooking the town. My husband is fluent in German while I can make myself understood. I was able to communicate with our hostess in a mixture of German and English. We used Poberschau as our base and travelled the region from Seiffen to Oberweisental as day trips. We did our grocery shopping in Marienberg, which was only about 15 minutes away. Very convenient to stop on the way back from our day's travels. We enjoyed the mine tour in Poberschau, the Frohnauer Hammer in Annaberg-Buchholz, Oberwiesental and the Erzgebirgsstuben restaurant at the top of the mountain and the Fichtelbergbahn. My favorite restaurant was Holzwurm in Seiffen. If we are ever back in the region, we would definitely stay again. It was such a beautiful area. Thank you for a wonderful visit.

Summary: Had a great time here, and the hosts were so personable, accommodating and helpful. We can highly recommend this beautiful place with a great view of the cute village (better view from upstairs apartment), and have already done so to friends. Good value in a central location - our day trip to Prague was an easy 90 minute drive - where one can find things to see and do nearby, or do nothing! Thanks again!
