Unique and stylish river house just feet away from the South Branch of the Potomac River. This retreat combines the wild and wonderful nature and scenery of West Virginia with the all the modern comforts of home. The fully equipped kitchen, fast and reliable wifi, laundry room, gym, hot tub, outdoor shower, fire pit, scenic views and more will make this a wonderful experience for you and friends and family. Less than five minutes from a Walmart Super Center and Moorefield, WV restaurants.
The space
This is a 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom house, with a spacious open layout that includes the fully equipped kitchen, living room and dining room. The river can be seen from the all spaces in the main area. There is a laundry room with washer and dryer; and a gym with an elliptical, total gym, small tv and a yoga mat. The fourth bedroom is combined into a playroom and tv room with two sets of bunk beds. The house has outdoor decks facing the river on both levels. It has a hot tub and an outdoor shower (weather permitting). There is an outdoor dining area with a grill that gives guests great views of the river and comfortable shade for sunny days. There is also an assortment of board and card games to enjoy.
Access to the river: There is direct access to the river from the backyard of the property. However, access is difficult and requires climbing down a few medium-to-large sized rocks. There is a public river access site a short distance from the house (1-2 minutes).
Guest access
Guests at the River House can access the entire property with the exception of the owners closets located in the gym and in the downstairs hallway. These closets are locked with an electronic key lock. All of the property associated with this house is to be used exclusively on premises and not to be removed.

Summary: The property was absolutely as advertised. Gorgeous spot overlooking the river. The interior was well-furnished & prepped for our group size. In my experience, many listings don't ACTUALLY sleep as many as they say. This listing was 100% accurate, and we all had beds to sleep on. Only issues were the local farm smell - but that's no fault of the owners - and an issue with the hot tub filter that left us unable to use it the last two nights. Great otherwise! Go into town & check out Tony's and the antique/crystal shop!!!

Summary: We booked Diego’s home as a gathering place for our family’s thanksgiving and couldn’t have chosen a better spot. The open concept living room/kitchen space with a wall of windows overlooking the Potomac was simply stunning! A perfect place to unplug, relax, and enjoy family and the incredible views. Not to mention all the updated comforts of plush beds, stylish bathrooms, hot tub with string lights, etc… If you are someone who loves to cook, you will be as delighted by the kitchen as we were - ample counter space, gas range, and fully stocked with every kitchen utensil and gadget you might need. Diego was also an amazing host - available to answer any questions, and had a Christmas tree set up which we all found to be a lovely touch :) We will be back!!
