Guest Book - 2008: M Spencer 'June 2008 I, my husband and a friend had a very comfortable stay at Casa Vista Panoramica. The house truly lives up to its name as the view is spectacular. The house is nicely furnished and had all the amenities we required. We were able to sit on the terrace and outside the front door to have our meals when weather permitted. We loved the village of Barchi and were able to visit a number of places in the vicinity including towns and villages on the Adriatic coast and inland. The detailed instructions provided by Sheena and Shawn and the information provided in the house were very helpful. We have no hesitation in recommending this house to anyone wanting a lovely holiday in an unspoilt area of Italy'
Guest Book -2007: Ed Stewart, Washington DC USA - a truly amazing vacation experience for our family of four. The home is a piece of paradise, as is the village. A real Italian 'mama' cooks at the town restaurant - but we often tried our hand at the local favorites - and with all the fresh ingredients available (and grown locally) even a novice could prepare a feast! The local wines were superb. The kids loved walking along the ramparts encircling the town atop 20 meter brick walls. Needless to say, the views were stunning. Peaceful, relaxing and unforgettable!
Shawn McCormick, Moscow Russia - Having visited Italy more than 30 times, I thought that I had seen it all. And then I found this house in this tremendously beautiful region. Casa Vista Panoramica - at the end of such a lovely medieval town with such awe inspiring views - was the perfect holiday home for our family. We loved spending our days relaxing in the house, the small park next door or walking around the countryside. And if you love casually driving from one quaint medieval village to the next on curvy countryroads, then Barchi is perfectly placed for you - there are nine other hamlets visible from the house! They don't call Marche the next Tuscany for nothing! But while short on busloads of tourists (thankfully!), this region is not short on things to do and see. Bottom-line; an idyllic getaway.

Summary: This stay was incredible. Because parking wasn’t allowed in front of house as renovations were taking place, the panoramic view was uninterrupted, like our personal large patio! We ventured out during the day to various towns as well as San Marino. The local bar was fantastic and we called in most evenings. Francesco was fabulous! Sheena was easy to get in touch with and everything we needed was there. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place for those who don’t want to be in the middle of a large place, but with easy access to surroundings.

Summary: We spent seven fantastic days in Sheena’s house. Long days of hiking, swimming, visiting Urbino, and long nights of dining, reading and just looking around at the roof terrace.

Summary: My husband and I just returned from a 2 week stay at Casa Vista Panoramica and we miss it already. The villa is outstanding in location and has easy parking. Rooms are clean and up-to-date, and well equipped. The rooftop terrace is like no other place on earth--simply breathtaking. Best of all were the warm, friendly people in the village of Barchi. The town restaurant was wonderful as was the café in town. The people at the supermarket were also warm and friendly, and we spoke very, very little Italian! We had wonderful, warm weather and did day trips to many exceiting towns as well as to the Adriatic Sea. We can't wait to go back. We give this villa our highest rating possible.

Summary: Absolutely outstanding. The Villa was at the end of the town where it was overlooking the beautiful valley. There was a park next door and being at the end of the street, it was very quiet and peaceful. The accommodations were superb. Very clean, up to date appliances and excellent beds and bathrooms. Everything was in working order and the owners of the Bar Memphis that help manage the place were very helpful. Being it is a very small town, it is important to know at least some basic italian. The view from the balcony was magnificent and a great place to sit back and relax. We'll be back to stay again.

Summary: Looking back on a great month in (mostly) Italy, our family of 4's week in Barchi at this house is the one part we'd do all over again. The house was a perfect size for us, a tasteful blend of old and new, on a stunning site in a quiet charming town where we didn't feel like the only tourists even though we probably were. We made local friends, hung out at the late night bocce tournaments, enjoyed the local food (we mostly ate at the house--the kitchen is well equipped and you can't beat the view), day tripped to Adriatic beaches, Urbino and other hill towns, and Dad enjoyed driving a turbo Alfa on the winding roads. The owners were reachable and helpful when our arrival time slipped at the last minute. Not for jet setters. This place is for settling in to a nice easy rhythm in contrast to the spectacles of Rome, Florence, etc.
