Summary: It was SOOOOO HOT in our room. Either the A/C wasn't working or the fan was broken. The only saving grace to make the room bareable was that I always travel with a travel fan. Our room also smelled like a litter box. ICK! We tried to switch rooms, but they said they were booked. We were on the 5th floor and power went out on 1/2 of the hotel. Of course it was the 1/2 with the elevators. UGH!

Summary: For the price, I expected more. Turns out, the only real ammenity was the location. No mini fridge, no vending on my floor, and the indoor pool isn't heated so it was freezing. And half of the hotel was without power during my stay. No storm, just blowing main breakers. And housekeeping came to my room at 9 when checkout is at 11. I've stayed at much better for much less. My family and I will not be returning.

Summary: Very nice and convenient. The voucher for breakfast was great and the food selection was excellent. We appreciated the upgrade to poolside with one exception, at 4:00 AM people were in the pool screaming and loudly laughing and talking enough to wake us up, I’m sure others rooms similar to ours shared the experience. This went on for a while 20 minutes plus. Perhaps locking down access to the pool after hours should be considered.

Summary: Our stay got off to a bad start when our rooms were not ready by the 4:00 pm check in time. Also during our 3 night stay our hot water wasn’t working as expected.

Summary: The hotel is very nice. The rooms are a little older but perfectly clean and well set up. Would definitely stay again.

Summary: The lobby and restaurant area were very clean, inviting, and smelled nice. The room was just ok. No hair dryer, the AC never fully cooled the room down. The breakfast buffet for $15 is what other hotels offer for free. They were not clear or upfront about a parking fee charged after our stay. The customer service was very friendly and refunded us without pushback as we didn’t actually park there. The convenience of location was great, but probably wouldn’t stay again when visiting our son at Missouri State.

Summary: We stayed at University Plaza Hotel every time we come through Springfield. It's wonderful to have a hotel downtown. The fitness room is always great and the location is perfect. We always end our evening with a walk to Tie & Timber Beer Co.
