Positive: Just our type of place to stay. From the moment of arrival the staff couldn’t do enough for us. They met the taxi to carry our cases up the steep incline, laundered our clothes and even found a little screwdriver to mend my glasses. We even hired a scooter from them at very little cost. Breakfast catered for different tastes:- roti, scrambled eggs, sausage, spring rolls, curry samosas, toast, watermelon etc. The highlight was when a pied hornbill joined us for watermelon, the monkeys a little less welcome but nice to watch from afar. The cabin itself had a lovely comfortable bed with curtains to keep out the mosquitoes. Great little hanging rail with plenty of coat hangers (often lacking in hotels), hairdryer, kettle and coffee, creamer and sugar. A bedside table at Lee’s side and dresser. The wet room had a heated shower, conditioning shampoo, shower gel, soaps and toilet rolls. Nice big towels. Overall an excellent place to stay and we’d give it 11 out of 10 and would certainly recommend or stay again.

Negative: If anything could possibly do with a toilet rolls holder - we put ours on the sink pipes to avoid it getting wet by the shower or falling onto the floor from the cistern. A squidgy to usher the water towards the drain would also have been useful, we could’ve used the floor towels, but preferred to keep this at the door of the bathroom. The steep incline is not for the faint hearted but if you’re fit - we classed it as part of our exercise routine - or want to hire a scooter it’s not a problem.

Positive: Lovely place a little off the Main Street and on the edge of the jungle. Great fun watching the monkeys go through from our balcony. All the rooms are individual timber chalets. Built to a high standard and very comfortable (with modern wet room and air con). The reception / breakfast area overlooks the sea and the breakfasts are excellent. A special shout out to the two guys who run the place. They were very helpful and friendly. We paid a just little bit more for this place than you would for some places in the village, but it is absolutely worth it. Magical in fact.

Negative: Be aware it’s up quite a steep, but short slope. I wouldn’t fancy it in a wheelchair but it’s fine if you’re reasonably fit. The fellas picked us up from the taxi at the bottom when we arrived and dropped us off at the taxi rank. Great service.

Positive: Clean, quiet, peaceful. Near to the night market. Friendly and helpful staff. Very responsive owner. Breakfast spread, although limited variety, was delicious.

Negative: A little hard to access due to steep woad to the premise. May be slippery during rain. However, an Axia can power its way up the 100 meter incline.

Summary: Great for a quiet getaway.

Positive: We stayed for two nights as a family. The only downside is the location on a hill, which requires going up and down, and the slope is quite steep. Everything else was very nice — peace and quiet, birdsong, greenery, no traffic noise. Very welcoming and friendly staff, the rooms were reasonably clean, the breakfast was not very varied but quite decent, and there is a good beach nearby.

Positive: Everything was awesome. The staff were great. They Carried my backpack down to my room. Then bought down some ice for me. Breakfast was nice n plenty full. Room was clean n tidy n comfortable. Pool was refreshing. Monkeys adorable. I would definitely stay here again. Thankyou guys. ❤️
