Summary: Manuela's home was very well appointed with lots of little extras like spices, board games, books, and toiletries. She has decorated the space with care and attention, giving the suite a warm, country cottage feeling. The beds were very comfortable and both bedrooms had excellent views of the surrounding area. The kitchen was clean and welcoming, the living area cozy with warm throw blankets and candles to make it feel like home. The property itself is conveniently located near national parks and Baden-Baden (definitely visit the spas and baths there - worth every penny, especially the sauna area). Plenty of nature-based activities and charming German towns to explore. We rented a vehicle and it made getting around very easy, though if you're relying on public transportation, it may be a bit more challenging to see everything in the surrounding area. Manuela was kind and full of information about things to see and do in the region. Would definitely stay again if ever back in the area! We were two adults but the space would definitely be great for families with kids as well.

Summary: The beds were comfy and the space was clean. There were also plenty of games for the kids to play. The hosts have some loving dogs, a friendly horse, a pony, and some chickens. If you have any issues with the smell of farm life or with narrow stairs this property may not be for you. The locals were friendly and willing to help when called upon as were our hosts. The location is secluded and tranquil. There is a trailhead nearby with a park. You are also a short drive away from several major towns and Black Forest attractions, just make sure you budget drive time into your schedule so you don't try and pack in too much. There is a ski lift located adjacent to the property if you are staying during the winter. Great place for a family escape.
