Summary: I write to say thank you so much for our wonderful time in Torre Specchia Riggeri to Francesco and his family. Our place was clean, comfortable and very charming. Francesco and his family are very kind, helpful, very nice people. The village is located in a beautiful place, the property is close to everything: the sea, stores, cycling paths.

Summary: We are a couple in late middle age who love swimming and this was perfect for a September holiday. A simple little no frills apartment (one of about 8), very clean, in a large olive grove with hammocks and bicycles and lovely friendly and helpful owners on hand. Antonio presented us with fresh eggs from his chickens and aubergines from his garden and his son Francesco was always on hand for advice and information on the area. The nearest town, San Foca, was a short drive away with good restaurants (great seafood) and gelaterie! Lots of beaches nearby and the swimming was perfect. A short drive to Lecce or Otranto for a change of scene. We would highly recommend this place.

Summary: It was wonderful to stay in Fore e Mare, with the hospitality of Antonio and his wife Vita, and their son Dario. They really look out for you if everything is ok and have provided us with very tasteful olive oil and wine, among other things. Everything is already said in the other reviews, you can't fault this stay! The sea, the nice countryside of Puglia and Antonio's kindness, we really miss it! Grazie mille!!!

Summary: A garden, well-kept and made into a Paradise, a house surrounded by olive-trees and a very green lawn, kept green by a spraying-system. The house has three rooms. A living in the kitchen, a bedroom with a double bed and a spacious bathroom. Hot water in the bathroom, not in the kitchen, but that's not really a problem. Water is sun-heated by a boiler that is connected to sun-panels. A nice terrace with chairs and a table completes the picture. Arriving at the gate, we had to honk and the gate opened automatically after the owner had pushed the button on a control. The owners, Antonio and Vita, turned out to be very hospitable people and had put all sorts of 'regali' on the kitchensink, which we appreciated very much. Proudly Antonio showed us his little 'paradiso'. We felt at home right away. He told us we could pick fruit (apricots, medlars, strawberries and lemons) and fresh eggs from the henhouse, where 16 very good-looking ladies took care of laying the eggs. Among the goodies left in the kitchen was olive-oil from Antonio's own trees, and a bottle of wine from the vineyard of a friend of his. That same day he brought us a bottle of home-made limoncello. The surroundings are very quiet, especially as we were there in the beginning of June. Nice beaches, olive-tree-forests, but also a beautiful coast to the south, from where you can see the mountains of Albania. Lecce is an interesting town and so is Gallipoli. Don't forget to visit Alberobello with the 'turri'. Like a fairy-tale from another world. A few miles south from San Foca you'll find one of the 10 world's most beautiful natural swimming-pools: La "Grotta della Poesia"di Rocca. We are very grateful to the very friendly Cordella-family (Antonio, Vita and Dario) that we were allowed to spend some time in their house. Summary: Hello, we stayed at San Foca in the second half of September and appreciated the very warm welcome from the family Cordella. We were treated in a very respectful way. We enjoyed the lovely garden, the bike rides and the adorable and kind cats that also live there. It was peaceful and we had everything we needed to rest and enjoy our holiday. Having breakfast under an old olive tree was a real treat every morning.... We highly recommend this property, especially if you consider the very reasonable price. Summary: We are tourists from Russia. Many thanks to the owners - Antonio and Vita - for our wonderful stay. We spent an unforgettable week in May in the most beautiful place in Italy - Puglia. We loved very much: the hospitality and friendliness of the hosts, thanks to which we felt at home; the house - clean, comfortable and equipped with all the necessary; several rocky and long sandy beaches within walking distance of the house; and, of course, the huge magnificent olive garden - landscaped, shady and quiet; nice place for barbucue and lots of bicycles. We want to point out that the description on the site correspond to reality (it's very important for people coming from far away). We are very happy with our vacation and would recommend this place to stay to anyone who is tired of the noisy big cities. Grazie mille! Alexander, Irina
