Positive: Lovely historic setting. Fantastic location by lake Vättern. Beautiful room. Breakfast was very excellent and so was dinner at the restaurant. The spa that is situated close by was also very good.
Negative: I would have liked an iron and ironing board in the room.

Positive: Good location near castle and for walks in town or along the lake. Nice restaurant but kind of pricey.
Negative: Isolated separate building for room, breakfast served in a separate building to which you had to walk and reception/dining room in yet another separate building.
Summary: Nice room with large bathroom and good location.

Positive: The location and room was amazing! The staff was super friendly. Breakfast was good and diverse.
Negative: There was a kind of jaccuzi installed in our bathroom but it was very difficult to operate. No option for a normal shower either, there was a shower head but no way to attach it to the wall. Washing our hair was difficult therefore.

Positive: Being in the Center of historic Vadstena with the old buildings and the amazing views of lake Vättern can’t be wrong and the room as wonderful! Parking was also very well organised and free!
Negative: The buildings being spread out over a large area and - in my opinion - not well signposted made my stay a mix of frustrated tardiness and painful joints from getting lost going to and from the various buildings. And the map really didn’t help. I wish someone would have told me that paying that little extra for a see view room meant I go a room on the top floor with no lift).
Summary: Worth a stay but not sure I’ll be back

Positive: This place was magnificent. It is perfect for any traveler, whether solo or with family. Trying to briefly describe this place won't do it justice because it feels like a world of its own within our world. The hotel is like a small city with its own unique atmosphere, where each building is both a hotel and a museum at the same time.

Positive: The concept was very nice, location was like a fairytale, breakfast was very tasty and lots of varieties.
Negative: It was not very clean. Upon realizing that the spa was not included in the price, I immediately reached out to the hotel to inquire about canceling. Despite raising concerns from the moment of booking, the hotel waited until the last minute to inform me that cancellation could only be made through Booking.com, and even then, they refused to accommodate my request due to a technicality about the 48-hour notice period. Booking.com supported my case and attempted to negotiate complimentary spa entry, but the hotel was unwilling to cooperate. This lack of flexibility and customer care made my stay uncomfortable. However, I appreciated the kindness of the hotel personnel throughout the ordeal. Overall, I wish the hotel had prioritized customer satisfaction and communication better, as it would have significantly improved my experience.
