Positive: The setting and surroundings of the hotel and facilities. Free access to swimming pool, gym etc. Checking in online. The room was excellent, breakfast, again lots of choices. The cafe bar nice for meeting friends. The staff were very professional, friendly and helpful in making your stay very relaxing and enjoyable.

Positive: We have stated before and loved the hotel. Lots to enjoy. Staff are friendly. Very clean.

Negative: The room we had this time was adjoining with I didn’t like. The bed was smaller (my husband is 6ft 3) so his feet were right at the bottom of the bed. The room didn’t have a separate bath and shower. E were just a little disappointed.

Positive: Location was perfect with M4 links, great base to explore all of south wales. Beautiful setting in countryside. Huge room with nice view, luxury Elemis toiletries in bathroom, comfy super king size bed, excellent breakfast (smoked salmon was not something I see on usual hotel buffets) staff very nice & just a lovely overall atmosphere within the hotel from other guests & health club members. Nice little spa, so much to do at the hotel, gin tasting/afternoon tea etc T at the castle. Brilliant 3night stay here.

Negative: Slippers & Robe in the room would have finished off everything perfectly. The pillows are quite hard so not great if you are used to a soft pillow.

Positive: Room was big l, comfy and fairly clean. Bed wad gigantic and pretty comfy. Most of the staff were friendly and attentive. Great pool/spa area.

Negative: A few minor things like mouldy sealant and water marks/limescale in the shower. Cold lighting from bedside lamps. Most of the empty tables in the bar area weren't wiped down bewteen diners, some sat dirty for an hour or more. Food service was slow (not many staff). Bar food wasn't great; tough chicken, overcooked burger, flavourless coleslaw.

Summary: Great value but a little tired in parts
