Summary: We were a group of 5 adults and 2 children. All of us enjoyed an absolutely fantastic week at Valhalla. The property owner met us on arrival for a tour and description of the property. We had full use of the canoe/kayaks/pedalboat while we were there, while the kids enjoyed playing on the waterfront (there is a bit of sandy beach!) and exploring the pond. There are multiple decks/docks which made for great afternoon-lazing. It was a week of tranquility, with no noise other than loons and blue jays. Even our dog enjoyed the property!

Summary: Our family spent a week at Valhalla and had a wonderful time. The property is beautiful, extremely well managed and has all amenities one could desire. Unlike many properties on this lake, this one is at the water level, there is no stairs to climb, walk out the back patio, onto a manicured lawn and into a sandy bottom clear waters of Lake Paudash. The cottage offers several places to hang out outside: large upper and lower decks, closed in gazebo (great for evenings or rainy weather), a fire pit area and sitting area on the lawn. The dock offers a place to moor your boat/jet ski, or easy access to do some fishing. The interior offers all 4 bedrooms on the lower level and an open concept kitchen, dining and living room on the upper floor. Scott (the owner) has been a great host, and is extremely accommodating and responsive. The cottage comes with a well equipped kitchen, bbq, plenty of outdoor furniture, kayaks, paddleboat, canoe, life jackets, board games, kids beach toys, streaming music and video services. The vast lawn provides space for outdoor games you family would like to engage be it football, volleyball, badminton, bocce, etc. We hope to visit again in the future.

Summary: Lovely place to relax with amazing views of the lake from a wrap around elevated deck. It was very enjoyable to dine on the deck or relax in the comfy patio chairs on the deck and watch loons swim by. There is a sandy lake bottom for swimming right in front of the house. The kitchen is well equipped with modern appliances. Beds are plentiful and very comfortable. Walking trails nearby are appreciated by family dogs. Eagles Nest lookout and walking trails are a short drive away. Host is always friendly and helpful. A wonderful place to enjoy with family and friends as it is very spacious.

Summary: Our family had an amazing time at Scott and Rhonda's cottage. The hospitability was fantastic. Great amenities both inside the cottage and out. The sandy beach is perfect, especially for young children. The cottage is located in a bay, the lake is typically calm which allowed us to enjoy the kayaks a few times. This is especially important for novice like us :) Unfortunately the week we rented ended up being very cloudy and rainy, however the size of the cottage provided enough space for us spend some time inside without feeling we were cramped, and the boys were able to entertain themselves with the on-site PS3. All in all we had an amazing time.

Summary: My wife & I booked a week at Scott's cottage (June 13-20th) with our 2 young boys and new-born. The pictures of the cottage & the property looked very nice on-line, but we were a little weary, having never actually seen it in person. I am happy to report that nothing was exaggerated/disappointing & our host, Scott, turned out to be a very nice & accommodating guy! The main living area of the cottage (the upstairs) is open concept & consists of a good sized kitchen (with every main appliance you'd have in your home), a dining area with an 8-seater table, and a large sitting area/TV "room" equipped with a nice, big LG flat screen. There are plenty of windows that give you a great view of Paudash Lake & a large wrap around deck where you can sit outside & enjoy the view as well. All 4 bedrooms are downstairs. They are all good sized rooms with comfortable beds, with the master, of course, being the largest of the 4. There is a nice walk-out to the lower deck & to the lake from the basement. The cottage is right on the water, as advertised. Nice, easy lake entrance & gradual drop off was perfect for the kids. Oh, and I can't forget to mention how much time the boys spent catching frogs & turtles at the pond...having that option available at all times definitely eliminated any concerns we had about them potentially getting bored. All in all, it was a great cottage, beautiful property, and we have nothing but good things to say about the owner, Scott. We will surely be back!
