Summary: Overall it was an excellent experience. Fantastic front desk staff. Top notch! First hotel in Belgium (it was our fourth a this trip) with a small refrigerator in the room. Free parking is always a huge plus in my book. A couple of notes, though. If you are going to change €24 for breakfast, the food on the buffet line needs to be hotter than lukewarm. (Although the freshly prepared omelet was hot.) And the shampoo/body wash dispenser in the shower was broken and/or empty. Dinner at Restaurant was much more reasonable than breakfast and delicious.

Summary: An interesting hotel with some very beautiful elements (brick ceilings, restaurant and bar area), next to other very average spaces, such as the halls leading to the room (more motley looking). The actual bedroom was ok. Clean and efficient. But not spectacular. We ended up sleeping with the window open because we couldn’t get the air conditioning to work.

Summary: The hotel exceeded expectations in every way: lovely large rooms, well trained and friendly staff, great restaurant, great location, and best of all, an incredible serve-yourself breakfast set up. I recommend this hotel very highly.

Summary: Unfortunately the hot water supply failed in the lodge on our first morning. The hotel moved us to a room in the main hotel. Much nicer but we could have done without the hassle to repack and move before breakfast.
