Summary: We love this house and the location. Close enough to beach walks, restaurants and shopping, but secluded enough to feel ‘private’. The perfect balance! The aesthetic of the house and the thoughtful amenities make this a ‘must stay’!

Summary: It doesn’t get any better than this. The house is perfect. Clean, smart layout, with everything you could possibly need. Waking up to those views every day is an absolute dream. Having access to your own beach is so much fun. If the tide is high, it’s just a two minute drive or short walk to the larger beach access just up the road. The house is in a central location to the downtown and other fun excursions such as the lighthouse. Katie is the best host ever and I love arriving to find the goodies that she leaves her guests! I’m collecting the Vashon cups that she gifts and now have two. We leave looking at the schedule for when we can come back. This is a no brainer. Just book it.

Summary: We absolutely loved our stay at the Vashon Island cottage! The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s beautifully furnished with views from nearly every room. Everything you need is there. A gorgeous kitchen that makes it a joy to cook. My 3 year old grandchild was so happy to find toys and books— and the little house! Outdoor spaces are heavenly, like a botanical garden with a beach and hot tub! Katie is very responsive and wonderful host. Vashon Island is really sweet— great shops, food, farmers market, hikes. Forgot to mention kayak and stand up boards—greatly enjoyed them and seeing seals, eagles, ospreys, jelly fish, crabs… just heavenly. Thank you so much for a perfect vacation!

Summary: We greatly enjoyed our extended stay here. The house is cozy, comfortable and well furnished, has dreamy views and a beautiful garden, and is situated in a lovely, serene, walkable neighborhood. Katie is a great host - very communicative and attentive. We would absolutely stay here again.

Summary: We loved the way the home was facing the water/bay from most of the rooms in the house. The back deck was also sunny mid day and evening. The home is nicely decorated and well stocked for a long weekend/week stay. Beds were cozy and house was warm when needed. We did not use the wood stove, but was a nice option.

Summary: We so enjoyed our stay at Katie's Vashon Beach House over the holidays! The place was exactly as pictured, with plenty of space to cook, eat, sleep, play games and relax by the woodburning stove. Not only is the place well equipped, but the views and wildlife can't be beat. The eagles, harbor seals and views of Mt. Rainier kept us glued to the windows. Would definitely recommend!

Summary: This was our third time staying here & we always enjoy ourselves. The house was welcoming as usual & the view was an instant de-stressor, as usual. We spent Indigenous Peoples Day 😉 here & the kitchen did NOT disappoint! I brought my own roasting pan just in case, but everything else I needed was on hand. And speaking of the kitchen, you must try the electric griddle! The best was to make hot pancakes for everyone at the same time (including the chef!) and such breeze to clean up! Daily walks to KVI (sometimes right along the property’s beach front!) really round out the balanced nature of what you can expect here. Truly amazing. We are already looking into another booking!

Summary: This is one of the best rentals I've ever stayed at. The house is nice, clean and modern. The kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and have everything you need. The property is gorgeous and the views are amazing. We were there during a rain storm and it was still very beautiful with lots of nature and bird watching. The hosts were so gracious and communicative. Overall 10/10 would stay again. :)

Summary: Our family of four had a great time at this beautiful property. The pictures don't fully do it justice. The views are spectacular, and the house was very clean and comfortable. We especially enjoyed using the paddle boards and kayaks (bring your own life jackets), sitting on the deck and in the lovely gardens, and relaxing in the hot tub in the evening The location is fantastic, just a short drive from town. The kitchen is well-stocked, but we also enjoyed getting takeout from several excellent restaurants that were a short drive away. The welcome basket and snacks were a nice touch and very much appreciated. We hope to come back to Vashon Island and stay at this property in the future!
