This is one of the 5 suites that are in our beautifully restored heritage home built in 1916 with a cottage flower gardens and a wrap around verandah. The whole house now features a new heating and air conditioning system, allowing individual comfort control in each suite. There are 5 individual suites each with its own kitchen and bathroom.
The Verandah Suite is located on the main level of the Victoria Falls Guesthouse and has 1 main room with a 1 queen bed, a dining table, and a pull out queen sized sofa. There is a smaller room separated by french doors with a kitchen & 1 bathroom with a shower. The suite opens onto the verandah and looks out on the bountiful flower garden. There is outdoor dining furniture and a BBQ. The guesthouse is equipped with A/C, Wifi, cableTV, and off street parking.

Summary: This is a lovely place to stay when visiting Nelson, BC. It's a heritage, turn-of-the-century home, turned into suites. The owners have done an amazing job of maintaining the heritage feel and quality, while upgrading to contemporary convenience. Because my husband is visually impaired, we had some difficulty with the keyless entry, and the owner came by and helped us work out a good solution. We would definitely stay here again.

Summary: This is a great location! If you know Nelson you know it's perfect for walking downtown etc. The heritage house has character and is comfy with all the amenities. Check-in/out was easy.

Summary: I stayed in the winter - warm and cozy. Beautiful old house - charming and clean. Great location - short walking distance to great restaurants, theater, show, bars, library, art shops and food stores. In summer the wide surround veranda would be great to sit out on. If you are like me and like to eat in at times the kitchen is fully equipped but small with a small fridge (bigger than a bar fridge) and offers ittle counterspace if you want to make meals. But it works! Some hangers on the hooks would be a great help for clothes. Thanks for accommodating me on short notice! :) All in all a great little place - a taste of the past in historic Nelson BC

Summary: The location, less than a block from Baker Street, was perfect. We spent each evening on the covered veranda, sipping wine and relaxing with the view of the mountains and garden. The owner responded quickly to any questions. The only downside, and it was minimal, was the tiny, tiny shower.

Summary: This was my 4th trip to Nelson and this was by far my favourite! This place was clean, great location, had all the amenities we needed. It is a 1900’s house so be aware when closing doors ect. As your neighbours in the other suites can hear :) as well as ear plugs are a good idea if you plan on going to bed before 11pm. The host was fantastic at communicating and responded promptly. We cooked a fair bit on our own and the BBQ and kitchen had everything we needed :) would definitely stay here on my next trip to Nelson.
