Rustic but comfortable circa 1933 lakefront cottage in the Long Point community available for weekly rentals from May through October. 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, kitchen, enclosed front porch overlooking the lake. Canoe and kayak available.
The cottage is located just 30 minutes south of Burlington and just 30 miles north of Middlebury. Closer yet are the quintessential Vermont towns of Shelburne and Vergennes (15 minutes). Peaceful setting but convenient to a wide range of activities. Have breakfast at 3 Squares Cafe. Explore Shelburne Museum and Shelburne Farms. Hike Mount Philo and have a picnic on the top. Sample local wine at Shelburne Vineyard or local beer at Fiddlehead Brewing Company or Hired Hand Brewing. Canoe the Lake Champlain shoreline right from the cottage. Enjoy a perfect dinner at the Starry Night Cafe, Park Squeeze, Black Sheep Bistro or Antidote.

Summary: Delightful camp right on a quiet cove. It has everything you need, including very comfortable beds! We made good use of the kayaks and canoe to seek out fish, turtles, and osprey. Many conveniences such as restaurants, gas stations, grocery stores (including fancy shops with wine, beer, and prepared foods and farm stands), boutiques, and other site seeing opportunities are minutes away. I hope we can make it a regular vacation stop!

Summary: Excellent location directly on the water in a rustic cabin but with air conditioning that came in handy with 6 straight days above 90 degrees. Very clean and owner is responsive and friendly. Use of kayaks, canoe included. A lot to do in the area. Also easy access to the Adirondack Mountains. Highly recommend for a relaxing get-away.

Summary: We had a great time at this great "camp" on Lake Champlain! The cottage is in a protected cove, great place to launch a canoe or kayak. The cottage itself was clean and comfortable, and Duncan was a great host - he even provided us a pancake breakfast package! Great stay and can't wait to go back!

Summary: We found this rental to be a clean, well cared for place with easy access to the water. The owner was very responsive and checked in several times during the week to insure we were finding everything that we needed. We will seek to rent this place again in the future.

Summary: We've spent a wonderful weekend in Duncan's cottage at Lake Champlain. We enjoyed the direct access to the lake and due to the warm weather and sunshine although end of October, we could use the canoos and the kajak that belong to the features of this cottage. Everything in and around this property was absolutely perfect. When we arrived late at night on Friday, a heated and cozy cottage and a friendly welcome letter and cookies from our host Duncan expected us. We can only recommend this property highly! Thanks to Duncan for a very smooth and easy reservation, check-in and check-out.

Summary: This place has everything you need , property and house were very clean . The view of the bay is great. I rented it for a fishing trip and the fishing was amazing. I would definitely recommend a stay at this cottage.

Summary: We absolutely loved our stay at this sweet simple cottage. So clean and fresh! Everything you need in a kitchen is here. The view is gorgeous right from the porch or bedroom. Water birds galore and quaint little sailboats.We highly recommend Starry Night Cafe and hiking Mt. Philo the view is breathtaking of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks. It was a perfect get away.
