Positive: Location was great for us in Ashton, wanted to be close to family and not many options in this part of town. It was fantastic to have a whole house for my family to be in and settled for a week. It was quiet, clean and tidy, and really comfortable. Kitchen is quite new, and we were actually able to prepare a Christmas lunch for our grandparents before taking it to their place. Well stocked with cutlery, crockery, and pots and pans!
Negative: Floors are creaky upstairs, but such is life in English homes I have found! Just have to sneak around when the kids are asleep. Apart from that, everything was fine.
Summary: Great Value, Comfortable and Quiet.

Positive: Was a great place to stay for our family of 4. Had everything we needed and for once we didnt really need to bring half of the things we needed with us, which was a pleasant surprise. Was a little hesitant about the smart lock, but actually worked really well.
Negative: Only whinge is that the bedding was washed in something that caused my wife's skin to react. We brought fairy non-bio detergent with us as we always do and washed it, no problems after that. Cleaning product smell was also quite pronounced when we arrived. For most people it would be fine, but if you have chemical sensitivities just one to be aware of. Nothing a bit of airing out can't solve :). Bathroom mirror could maybe do with swapping for something a bit less wobbly. Would definitely stay here again even so.

Positive: Great location. Easily accessible from Manchester Airport. Located near major roads and highways making sightseeing and travel easy. Public transportation was less than 5 minute walk from location. Private parking directly onsite. Modern and updated. Completely equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Internet and TV available. Location was secure and in a pleasant community with friendly neighbours. I would not hesitate to rebook the Ashton Under Lyne property again if presented with an opportunity.
Negative: We experienced challenges with trying to operate the stove and oven. This UK stove varied significantly from our stove type in Canada. No directions were provided or could be located on site. May I suggest a quick run down of use for future guests? Searching the internet for directions on how to use it was time-consuming and tedious. Washroom was clean and equipped with the latest tub and shower. Actually, we loved shower head variations! However, it was very awkward not having a proper mirror in the washroom. (It is understandable based on limited space)
