5 Star Generals Retreat is a charming, elegantly-furnished, 2 bedroom/1 bath guest home that rests behind our family's original property (The Big House) that was built in 1919. Nestled in a private setting with a private driveway and parking, this gorgeous vacation property is a mere 15 minute walk from Main Street Franklin and all of the historic sightseeing, shopping, and dining it has to offer.
There is ample outdoor room to run and enjoy cooking and recreation with the family. Enjoy the view of the historic property via a screened in porch and large outdoor patio off the master bedroom, the latter of which includes a gas grill and grilling utensils for cookouts.
Generals Retreat also offers a fully-stocked kitchen with service for 8, a formal cozy living room with console TV and a separate dining room surrounded on three sides with plantation shutters, a stackable washer/dryer, and much more.

Summary: My teacher friends and I enjoyed our stay during the PumpkinFest in Franklin, TN. Lots of great restaurants and shopping. We enjoyed the screened in back porch during our stay.

Summary: We had a delightful trip to Franklin in large part because of the clean and convenient stay at this location. The owners are fabulous folks, very accommodating and nice. It is an easy walk down historic Main Street to downtown (less than a mile). The walk takes you past some of the most beautiful and historic homes in Franklin, so each trip was enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Summary: Everything we needed was provided. This reminded me of staying in my grandmother's house and I felt comfortable and it brought back memories of those days!! It's a feeling newness and perfection cannot bring!! Coffee on the sunporch is better than any 5 star hotel I've been to. You won't regret staying here. We hope to stay again.

Summary: You can't beat the location of this property! My dogs and I took many walks to downtown Franklin and surrounding areas - Mark & Damon were just wonderful, wonderful hosts, always there if I needed anything and so nice to chat with. If you are looking to travel to the Franklin area, this is the property you want to stay at!
