You'll have a 2,000 sf, 5 bedroom home located on the South end of Vashon Island, just a 5 minute drive from the Tahlequah Ferry and a 20 minutes drive from the Seattle ferry. Easy access, drive right up to the house and only one step and your in the home. This waterfront home sits on a private level acre of apple and pear orchards with stunning Mt Rainier views. Watch otters play and eagles soar each day. See a whale or two swim by.
Large open floor plan on two levels. Enough indoor space to interact with your guest and with two levels find some alone time to relax. Large bedrooms with water and mountain views. No need for family or guests to be uncomfortable by sleeping on a couch in the living room. Sun all day long. Wake up to amazing sunrises and spectacular sunsets while you dine. The summer months provide you with amazing sunrises and sunsets and lots of outdoor activities or even cuddle up with a fire in the rock fireplace.
Lots of things to do for the whole family. Kayak, paddle board, swim or walk the beach. Hiking trail within walking distance. Take a 10 minute ferry ride to Tacoma and enjoy the Point Defiance Zoo, Anthony's Restaurant or the new Ruston Way development. 10 minute drive to the town of Vashon for shopping, great restaurants, theater and art studios. Or explore the many points of interest on the island.
Bring your boat (25' or less) as we have a mooring buoy. Store your tender, kayak, or paddle board on the 80' bulkhead where you will find a fire pit and lawn chairs. Bulkhead or the grassy front yard makes for a great place to put up a tent.
Without a doubt when visiting Vashon you have to stay on the water and The Eddy...the place to stay!

Summary: Our extended family greatly enjoyed their stay here. The house and property are VERY well outfitted with everything you need-or want. The view is spectacular, We all enjoyed the hot tub and as it was chilly out in Feb, the fireplace was well used which made it even more cozy. Having bedrooms on the main floor as well as downstairs worked really well esp for our 98 and 93 year old grandparents. The age span was 98 to 29 and the house worked well for all. We all want to stay there again in summer weather now. Overall, we know you’ll love your stay here. We did.

Summary: We had a wonderful 3-night stay at this beautiful house on the south shore of Vashon Island. It was everything it was advertised to be and more. The views are stunning, and are to the south, so the sun travels across the back of the house providing both sunrises and sunsets, and doesn't shine directly into the back windows. The master bedroom has darkening shades for those who prefer to sleep a little late. The ferry terminal is nearby and it's fun to watch it travel back and forth across the Sound. The view of Mt. Rainier from both back decks is as good as it gets! The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen has everything you might need, the hot tub was new and located in the shade on the lower deck facing the water--a perfect location. Several of our family members went exploring in the kayaks and paddle board that are available for renters to use--the water is very calm there and provides perfect conditions for such activities. We saw lots of interesting wildlife in both the air and sea, including bald eagles, great blue herons, harbor seals, and harbor porpoises. Humpback whales and orcas are possible, but we did not get lucky in that regard. Corn-hole and croquet sets are available for renters to use and the BBQ worked great (we used it on all 3 nights). Anyone looking for a quiet getaway in a spectacular house directly on the water would be delighted with this house. We would strongly recommend it to anyone and are likey to book it again in future years.

Summary: We reserved The Eddy to accommodate out of town friends coming to the island for a birthday party. They absolutely loved it. They sent me pictures of the sunset. The house is very well appointed, and you cannot beat the location. The property managers were clear in their instructions and responsive. A++ Experience all around!

Summary: We've been cooped up since Covid began and really needed a change of scene. The Eddy was perfect. Each kid had their own room to do on-line school in and my husband could work. We had an amazing view and were lucky with the weather. We loved watching the ferry go back and forth all day. The house was clean and part of why I chose it because of the cleaning practices that were advertised. The home was comfortable and well appointed. The owner was responsive and easy to communicate with. I'm already dreaming of returning some day!

Summary: This house was excellent for 4 senior women who haven't been able to see each other for over a year. This wonderful place was as described, though it was a little cozier than we remembered from the pictures. We enjoyed the fireplace with wood provided, WiFi that worked well, the fully equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. The view was amazing as we were right above the beach. We would definitely come here again.

Summary: This property was super cozy! The furnishing were lovely and each bedroom was wonderfully appointed. The views were spectacular. We had our annual girls reunion on a chilly November weekend, but I can see that this would be an amazing place to come in the summer. Everything was beautiful and we had a great weekend!

Summary: Great waterfront property on Vashon Island, super clean and well furnished, with plenty of space to spread out. The owner was very responsive and communicative. Unfortunately, due to the wildfire smoke we were unable to spend time outdoors but it is an ideal location for enjoying Puget Sound.

Summary: What a wonderful time we had. The view of the sound from almost every room is unbeatable, with beautiful and very well appointed decks surrounding the house. The house itself it also very well appointed, clean, bright, elegantly furnished, and just a fantastic place to stay. Kayaking! Harbor seals (we think), and tame deer families visited us, too! My family and I had a wonderful time, and are sorry we didn't make our stay longer. Next summer can't come soon enough. Rita was a delight to work with, very communicative, kind, and upbeat.
