Positive: It had everything you would need for a great family vacation, lots of space, excellent pool, great location and great owners. It is very rustic which may not be to everyone’s tastes but we loved the history and the traditional aspects especially being in a nice village with a great shop just around the corner which had fresh bread, cakes and great coffee every morning. The large espresso was just one €1. The location is great for some lovely beaches less than 20 mins away, many with free parking and quiet. The larger supermarkets are no more than ten mins away in Obidos which itself is lovely. We got great recommendations on places to visit and a lovely restaurant just outside Obidos from traditional Portuguese food. Would visit again.
Summary: A great holiday villa, great location, really enjoyed it.

Positive: We spent a wonderful time at Casa do Sobral. The property is in a very quiet area, great for someone who wants to take a break from the city and relax. The garden is big and very pretty with fruit trees and a large variety of flowers. We also spent a lot of time by the pool which was perfect for some exercise! The house itself is very large and had everything we needed. It is very traditional yet very comfortable: exactly what we were hoping for! Sobral da Lagoa is a tiny little village on top of a hill near Óbidos. Stunning views and beaches, such as Baleal and Foz do Arelho, are waiting at every corner, just few minutes away by car. And, by the way, you can see the lagoon of Foz from the house! This is makes it for both an amazing view and a very convenient way to check the weather there before arriving. The house is located in the center of the village and, although you will need a car to get around, there is a tiny café with a grocery shop just next to the house. A great way to start and end your days :) Finally, the hosts are very friendly and helpful, always ready to help you. Also, and they answered all my questions in quickly and precisely. We are very happy to have stayed there, and we hope to come back to that tiny piece of heaven soon!!
