Positive: Great location, overall space was great, lovely house, pretty well maintained and with almost all the comforts of home.
Negative: The person we dealt with wasn’t accommodating, gave us the keys and barely showed us around then left. When I sent a message asking about the extra room we were supposed to have access to, he said it was the owners personal space. I explained that the photos of that room should be taken off their advertisement because I rented the house for the extra room as a meditation area. Outside area was not clean. Broken dining room table. No extra bedding or linens for a 12-day stay, one dish towel, no oven mitts, paper towels, or dish soap. We had to go buy all the extra stuff. I haven’t ever had that happen in a self-sustaining home before. Is this the new normal? I did expect for the price that we paid that the basics would be available. I was completely ignored by the agent after my comments. His last note to me was: information sent to owner. I found that very rude especially since he didn’t respond back in the last 10 days that we were there. It’s too bad.

Positive: A beautiful and very comfortably furnished, charming house to feel at home. Very quiet and peaceful, ideal for relaxing. Inspiring surroundings with lots of culture (Sintra!), various and beautiful beaches, a variety of leisure activities and of course Lisbon in the close proximity (approx. 30 km) - makes sense if you have a car. Extensively equipped kitchen, (German) TV, view of the countryside, the Tejo delta and in places a view of the shimmering Atlantic. Everything that makes a stay worthwhile.

Positive: Great location, close to everything. Beach Guincho 10 min, Sintra 15 min, Estoril Race track 15 min, Cascais down the road 10 min and into Lisbon 30 min same as to airport. House super welcoming, we stayed as a family and enjoyed coming back to relax at the house and the views over Cascais, the Tejo and the Ocean. Just behind the house the Cascais Sintra Natural Reserve is great for running and Mountain Biking. Good restaurants and supermarket in walking distance.
