Positive: Some lovely warungs and resorts within walking distance. Quiet area but not too far from the Main Street. Good air conditioning and comfortable beds.

Negative: Everything was very comfortable. Would have been good to have some mozzie coils supplied.

Summary: I would highly recommend this Villa. We were looked after very well.

Positive: My wife and I had 18 wonderful days at Villa Barong. Nengah and his staff were absolutely great. Nothing was too much trouble for them and their breakfasts were very good, especially the pancakes. I would recommend this villa to anybody. I would also like to mention Warung Moka, a few minutes walk away. We had meals there several times in their lovely garden and they also do takeaways which is very handy.

Positive: Quiet and secluded but within walking distance of the beach (not a swimming beach really) and lots of lovely little places to eat. Not far into town for more eateries and a little shopping. Staff were lovely as always in Bali and made sure everything was top notch.

Negative: We didn't realise until we got there that there were 2 villas on the site with only a hedge dividing. It was fine at the time but would have been annoying for us if there had been a big group, young children or a celebration going on next door. Didn't feel very private.

Positive: Good quiet location. Staff were really nice and attentive. Nice breakfast provided in the room. Very private and comfortable. Very enjoyable stay!

Negative: It was one of two villas in a small plot. Each had own pool(s) so very private. However - it is not a ‘hotel’ as described, so no services at all. Possibly a local problem, but the tap water was very smelly (hydrogen sulfide). And the towels (of which there were plenty) were very rough - spotlessly clean, but not soft!!

Positive: Good location, good service / staff We loved the villa and would go back subject to the privacy issue.

Negative: Privacy from the other villa on the property. I suggest they put even simple bamboo fence up to give privacy we had villa 1.

Positive: We had a lovely stay at Villa Barong. Puttu and Nengah were so helpful throughout the whole week that we stayed there. Puttu picked us up from the airport and we also hired him for a day and a half to go to Sidemen and Virgin Beach. The villa is in a nice peaceful area of Candidasa with plenty of warungs, shops and spas within short walking distance. The other villa was not occupied during our stay so we were able to use both pools which was really great. My partner worked from home from the villa and the wifi internet was fast and reliable. The kitchen was well equipped with a coffee machine, smoothie blender and unlimited drinking water. Highly recommend! Terima kasih Puttu and Nengah!

Negative: The villa was a bit dated and could use a bit of an update. Small things like the sliding doors didn't fully close so bugs were able to come in at night could be fixed/improved but overall we had a great stay and definitely felt like it was value for money!

Summary: Peaceful week with great private pool and fast internet!
