Positive: The house features beautiful architectural details, making it visually appealing from the outside. The location is excellent, offering spectacular views of the Zürichsee and surrounding mountains. It is conveniently accessible by car, train, bus, or boat, making it a great base for exploring the Zürich city. Despite some issues, it provided ample space for a large family, and we were able to enjoy our time together.
Negative: Kitchen: The oven was non-functional, and only a small steamer with an oven function (lacking a suitable baking tray) was available. The air vent above the stove was broken, the freezer was not functioning, and the kitchen on the ground floor lacked heating. Living Room: The table shaped like a hand was broken. Entrance Door: The green entrance door to the first floor (from the stairwell with no heating system) did not close properly. Lighting: Several light switches were broken. Pool Table Room: The pool table triangle was damaged, and the pool sticks were in poor condition, making the game unplayable. Additionally, the room with the green couch (near the pool table room on the ground floor) had no electricity or heating, rendering it unusable in winter. Winter Terrace and one of the bathrooms: Both lacked heating, making them uncomfortable during winter temperatures outside. The bathrooms also did not provide additional towels. Cleanliness and Maintenance: Many visible scratches on the floors, stains on the walls, spider webs (and spiders), and a noticeable old-house smell, likely due to dust, caused some guests to experience allergies. The bar room depicted in the pictures was located in the basement and was full of dust and spiders, making it unusable. While the house holds great potential and provided a memorable experience for our family, significant maintenance and improvements are necessary to ensure a more comfortable and pleasant stay.
