Positive: Komang, the owner, runs the villa extremely well. The whole staff met us upon arrival and gave us a warm welcome. It was my husband’s birthday which I mentioned ahead of time, and the Villa went out of their way to make our arrival a celebration. Putu, the cook and her assistant Gede made fabulous meals for dinner and lunch upon our request after long days/early mornings on excursions. And Kedak, the driver could not have been a nicer person, taking us all over the country to see amazing natural and cultural sites. We also were able to take advantage of the :90 bamboo massage which was just magical! The Villa is absolutely lovely, modern, clean. My family and I thought the place and the people running it were so friendly and hospitable. We highly recommend Villa Cahaya to everyone!
Negative: Nothing!
Summary: Villa Cahaya is a perfect home base to see the amazing waterfalls in the northern part of Bali.

Positive: This is a stunning villa with incredible infinity pool views. The grounds were beautiful and the accommodation large. The staff were great and Putu especially who helped prepare all the meals was incredible. She was so thoughtful and arranged everything perfectly, our meals were all lovely. The pool area is great for relaxing and in a very quiet area in North Bali. Staff helped arrange tours and transfers as required as there is nothing within walking distance of the villa.
Negative: The only negative was that the main living area had no air conditioning and we couldn't sit and enjoy this room as it was just too hot for us in our stay so we had to go into the bedroom in the evening. This is only a small negative on what was a brilliant overall stay.
Summary: Incredible villa with stunning views and hospitality, a must visit in North Bali for relaxing.

Positive: The location is incredible. The service is super. Putu and Kade have cooked delicious balinese dishes for us. The manager Komang is very helpful and immediately there at the slightest problems. We had an unforgettable stay at Villa Cahaya and we will come back again.

Positive: This review was hard to write for two reasons. One, there were so many amazing moments in our week at Villa Cahaya (including a wedding!) that it was difficult to know where to begin, and two, we almost didn’t want to share just how amazing this place is because we kind of want it to be our little secret. From start to finish, everything was as close to perfection as one could imagine. In short, it was the best experience that our group has ever had while on vacation. How so? Well… • Accommodations. The villa is perfect in its design. Open yet cozy, private yet connected, modern yet showcasing many of Bali’s traditional aesthetics. The main house is ultra-inviting and has a lovely common area; the rooms were all spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the pool was heavenly. The pictures are stunning, but actually being there on the property is breathtaking. • The service. Komang, the owner/property manager, is exceptionally professional, genuinely friendly, and easy to chat with. He was always a phone call/text away when we needed a driver or wanted to book activities, ask for restaurant recommendations, etc. Putu was our hospitality resource throughout our stay. She’s detailed, thorough, and endlessly considerate. Her cooking is divine, and her presence and personality make you feel like you’re being cared for by family. Putu is the best. The ground staff were fantastic and worthy of mention. They were there early in the morning, taking care of the pool, the gardens, and the yard so that everything looked and felt first-day fresh when we woke up. • The above-and-beyond. This is a quality that not every hotel or resort has. Villa Cahaya, on the other hand, has it in abundance. From start to finish, there’s an overall attitude that assures you that if your request is possible, it will be met- and likely exceed all expectations.
Negative: That we couldn’t live there forever and ever.
Summary: We’re already looking for an excuse to book again.
