Positive: This is such a great location to spend a relaxed Christmas with a group/family! the house was very spacious, well equipped (especially the kitchen!), full of light and has a beautiful view. The house felt very comfortable (plenty space, great beds, two well-equipped bathrooms, and attention to detail :) ). And the hosts were very attentive and kind! It is also within walking distance to the historic centre of Maderno (which felt really charming and authentic!, and in December was also very calm so we felt like locals). We also did some nice nature walks in the paper mills walk path. Even in December low season, we could further explore without a car Lake Garda, and from Maderno reach the other coast by ferri (Torri de Benaco) and upper north Limone by bus. We also first arrived to Maderno from Brescia by bus (runs every hour), and it was relatively close to walking to the house from Maderno bus stop (although it can get very uphill on the charming walking paths up to the house). There is also a big supermarket within walking distance. Definitely a place I will recommend my friends (and would love to come back!). Thanks!

Positive: This place is awesome! It's huge, spotlessly clean, and luxurious. We felt like kings and queens during our stay. The view over the lake is amazing, both from the terraces and the private olive tree garden. The host is very friendly and communication went smooth. The villa is split in an upper and a lower part. We stayed at the top half and the lower half was occupied during the day by the friendly parents of the host, but since the property is so big and we had our private entrance, we had enough privacy to feel like we had the place to ourselves. It is possible to walk from the villa to the center of Maderno to have a drink and visit a restaurant. Be aware that the walk back up the hill is a bit tough (pretty steep) 😉 By car, don't take the shortcut through the small streets of the city, since they are extremely narrow. Use the normal streets and you'll be fine. We really enjoyed our stay in Villa degli Ulivi and would recommend it to anyone.
