4 Bedroom Villa in Marathi, Chania

Loutraki Villas is a complex consisted of 4 autonomous villas, each one with its own private swimming pool, located only 150 meters away from the beach. The villas ("Electra", "Phaedra", "Gaia" and "Galini") have been designed to offer clear views of the sea! Elegance, functionality, and comfort are harmoniously combined to create a relaxing atmosphere and promise a wonderful stay.
Villa Galini covers 155m2 and can accommodate 8 guests in its 4 bedrooms and up to 10 if necessary. It is a three-storey villa designed to offer direct views to the sea and also because it is located in the edge of the complex it offers full privacy to the pool area which cannot be overlooked from the other villas.
Indoor layout
Entering the villa in the main house there is an open plan area consisting of the living room with a large sofa, satellite 32" HDTV and fireplace, the indoor dining area and a fully equipped kitchen of top quality fixtures. The living room area has direct access to a spacious balcony with a sitting area. On the same floor there is a bathroom with shower and a bedroom with a double bed.
A staircase leads to the first floor where 2 more bedrooms are located. Both bedrooms have a double bed and balcony with a coffee table and chairs where great sea view can be enjoyed. One of the bedroom also has an en-suite bathroom with shower. A bathroom with bath and shower is also found on the same floor.
Independent studio
The independent studio is located on the lower floor of the building which has its own entrance from outdoor area. Entering the studio there is an open plan area consisting of the living room with a large sofa and satellite 40" HDTV, the indoor dining area and a fully equipped secondary kitchen. The living room area has direct access to the veranda with a sitting area. The studio has a bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom with shower.
Outdoor area
Outdoors the villa has its own fenced private area covered with grass and flowers, a heated swimming pool with sun beds and umbrellas along with a variety of facilities and spots for relaxation. Because of the position of villa Gaia in the complex, the outdoor area can not be overlooked from the other villas. More specifically our outdoor facilities include:
- 35 sq. m heated ecological swimming pool.The pool can be heated with an additional cost per day (please note that the pool heating can be used upon advance request for the entire stay and it requires at least one week advance notice).
- Fully equipped charcoal barbecue
- An outdoor dining table with views to the pool and the surrounding landscape
- A variety of furnished spots (with sun beds, coffee tables, chairs and outdoor sofas) for relaxing in the balconies and the gardens around the villa

Loutraki has an organized beach short walking distance away from the villas with fine sand and crystal clear shallow waters, it is very well organized and provides all the common touristic amenities such as a tavern and beach bar and it is also one of the main beaches which you can choose when the weather is windy as you will never see any waves there.

Summary: We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Galini. The views are spectacular, the pool is perfect and private. There is a great taverna at the end of the street and Loutraki Beach, beach marianthi is a short drive away (5 minutes) and where we spent more time. We were very impressed with the communication and responsiveness of Yianni. Thanks for a great stay! We highly recommend this Villa to other groups.

Summary: Remote outside Chania with beautiful views and an easy walk down to Loutraki beach and a lovely taverna. If you’re up for an adventure, it’s a short and easy walk along the road to Marathi beach with a handful of restaurants (we enjoyed Loukoulos) or you can drive over. Enjoying more of the island does require a trek from the home and the closest grocery store is about a 15 min drive. The house was comfortable with many amenities, and the pool was beautiful. Some small items weren’t able to be found in the home (wine opener, coffee, hairdryer, etc) but property management was quick to address a request. If you wanted to eat a meal together in doors, the kitchen areas are split across two floors and seat 4 each.

Summary: Myself and 7 girlfriends stayed at this property for a week and it was the break we needed. The ourside pool area was perfect for all of us. The proximity to the beach was amazing, and to walk to the next bay was 25 mins which gave us different options for a morning breakfast. The Taverna at the end of the road was amazing and Magdalena and Costas were just wonderful and the food is to die for. Etouri and the owner of the villa were on hand at all times and dealt with any small requests that we had immediately. The team at Etouri could not have been more helpful. We wished that the kitchen opened up onto the pool but that was a small want out of everything that we got. We all required a bed each and a bathroom to share to two girls and we all got that as well. The views are amazing and we absolutely loved every minute of our time there. We didnt request for the pool to be heated as it was June and I am not sure if you would need it heated through the summer, at the end of a hot sunny day, one of our girls said that the pool felt like swimming in soup. :) Whoever is in the villa will love it. We were not close to local shops for shopping but we hired a small car and drove the 25 minutes to Lidl twice in our week which was perfect. I would highly recommend this villa. The view every morning and the sunrise is like a slice of heaven.

Summary: Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Galini. The house was very well equipped and we had everything on hand we needed to prepare meals or in general for staying in. If anything was missing (i.e. kitchen drying cloth) it was arranged fairly quickly. The communication with the property management was smooth and quick and efficient. The views from the pool area and the pool area itself is unbeatable. You will definitley need a car to get around. No shops close by. The town Chania and the beahfront of Marathi are worth a drive and visit. Otherwise you can walk in less than 5 minutes to the beach of Loutraki and its beachbar. The overall cleanliness could have been better (i.e. lime spots in the bathrooms, some dusty surfaces). But the towels and linen were white and clean which is the most important in my opinion. I also wouldn't call this a place a villa but rather a house which doesn't take away from its comfort and prestine location but the interior is most definitely not luxirious. Nevertheless we would recommend this place anytime and it's absolutely worth staying here.

Summary: Really enjoyed our stay - the villa is really great. Good kitchen facilities, pool area was lovely for our family to spent time in, BBQ, good wifi, pool was warm (we paid extra for the pool heating), communication as great before and during stay (we had a few queries answered almost instantly via whatsapp). Summary: We stayed for 8 days at this villa and were very happy and satisfied with our holiday. The villa is well maintained and very comfortable. The bedding was lovely, crisp and fresh, as were the towels. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cooking pots, although it would be nice to have a couple of baking dishes for the oven. The washing machine was very useful and we needn't have taken half of the clothes we did! The owner had provided a courtesy bottle of wine and basket of fruit on arrival, which was lovely. It would have been nice if a small amount of everyday items were also to hand, eg, salt, sugar, tea, coffee & milk, so that you didn't have to shop immediately. We also felt that a little booklet containing information about the local area and where rubbish should go etc would have been helpful. We paid the extra amount to have the pool heated, unfortunately there had been a miscommunication between the owner and the person on site and they had heated the wrong pool. This was very disappointing for our 2 sons, as we had to wait 3 days before the pool was any where near a usable temperature. The owner was very apologetic and without hesitation offered a refund for the days that the pool was out of action. The BBQ facilities outside were great, as were the eating areas and loungers. It was a little tricky getting to the pool from the villa, as you had to use the front door and walk around, taking the key with you, as the door didn't have a latch, which was fine providing everyone remembered to check where the key was. We acquired 5 new 4 legged friends whilst on holiday, luckily we love cats, they were sociable, friendly and we enjoyed their company. The local Loutraki beach was beautiful, the sea was warm and clear and because it was out of season, we felt that we had a private beach. It was literally a 5 minute walk from the villa. We would say that you absolutely need a car out of season, as the local bar was closed and there are no shops within walking distance. Overall we would completely recommend this villa, if for nothing other than the stunning views and pool, luckily it has so much more going for it.

Summary: We had a fabulous week at Villa Gaia - beautiful surroundings and wonderful villa. Our host, Mr George, was very welcoming and available to answer questions whenever we needed him. We were two families staying in one villa and had more than enough room - especially with the self-contained apartment on the ground floor. The area is very quiet - perfect for a relaxing holiday. I would advise hiring a car if you want to visit restaurants etc, as there were only a couple within walking distance - which was perfect for us.
