The rural complex of Villa il Castellaccio, once a fully working farm, is set in a beautiful panoramic position in the heart of Chianti, between Florence, Siena and Arezzo . The apartments, all recently reconstructed from the original farm buildings are furnished in style and comfort with all mod-cons .They all have their own entrances on different sides of the complex giving each a sense of privacy. They share a big terrace with barbeque area and the main swimming-pool, but often it will seem like you are the only guests, it's always so peaceful and quiet !
Castellaccio 1 sleeps 5 and has: a dining room with fireplace, a well equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms with showers, 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom, 1 single bedroom. This apartment is on the 1st floor and is reached by an external stairway. It is very luminous and has super views but does not have an immediate outside eating area though guests are welcome to use the dining facilities in the barbeque area.
Included in price: All household linen per week, Wi-Fi, electricity, hot water, gas for cooking,1 eventual baby-cot on request, parking.
Not included to pay on spot: Heating calculated on consumption Oct – March (approx Euro 2,50 per hour), Sojourn Tax: 2 euro per person per night for maximum of 7 nights and only for people over 14 years.

Summary: Incredibly comfortable, stunning views, and centrally located. Many windy roads, but got use to the commute from our Villa. Highly recommend! And thanks Leonardo for the tour of the many artifacts of the place. 1000 year old ruins! Incredible.

Summary: The place is beautiful. Just in the heart of Chianti. The apartment is stunning with amazing view and Leonardo was there anytime we needed any advice or help. Great vacation, definitely will reccomend that place.

Summary: We are a family of 5, we spent 2 wonderful weeks in this villa enjoying the Tuscan scenery, food and wine. The location is pretty remote so a car is essential for getting around. We loved returning from a days sightseeing to the shared pool which sits in very well maintained grounds. There is a large patio area with BBQ & pizza oven where we spent some evenings watching for the deer & boar who could be spotted on the hillside around the villa! Leonardo was a very attentive host who was happy to help with any questions we had. I would not hesitate to recommend this place & would definitely return here in the future!

Summary: The Location is wonderfully located in Chianti with a great view in an idyllic Environment. It is a perfect base for day or hiking trips. We enjouyed our stay very much. The owner is caring very much for the guests and always helpful. It is a place where you feel like at home. The property is very clean. The appartment very well equipped. So we will come back in the future like many other guests.

Summary: Very clean property, nice bedding and towels. Well equipped, spacious apartment. Outside communal area was ideal, with tables and chairs, pizza oven (a lot harder than it looks!) BBQ (with all charcoal and lighters supplied). All areas were cleaned each day so the areas were immaculate. Pool was great, great shade and loungers available. We were met on reception and all our questions were answered, rather than having to read lots of documentation. Would definitely return!

Summary: The villa was very nice. The appartment was more than what we needed but we appreciated it very much nevertheless. The view from our second floor appartment was fantastic. Leonardo, the owner, was a very good host. We had good conversation with him at our arrival and at our departure. The location, in the middle of the Chianti region, was exactly what we were looking for. We do not hesitate to recommand this place. We do believe that the large size of the appartments offered is more suitable for either a family or a group of 4. Thx again Leonardo for the visit of your "museum" and your kind explanation of the vineyard operations!

Summary: Leonardo welcomed us with a great smile and took the time to show us this amazing place and helped us with our reservations and provided very valuable tips for our visits (Florence is about 1hr). The Apartments are in the middle of vineyards and olive gardens with amazing views. The facilities are very well maintained (pool, common areas) and the apartment we were in was very well equipped and clean. I highly recommend this place for people wanting to be close to the tourist attractions without being in the middle of that hassle. It is peaceful, beautiful with a great pool to share with other traveler. Lots of fun. Thanks Leonardo!

Summary: All I can say is WOW!! The pictures can't fully show just how beautiful this property is with the flowers, the beautiful workmanship of the renovations, and lavender and rosemary that grows all around. We loved our apartment which was clean, beautifully decorated and well equipped. The location is wonderful in that it is an easy train ride to Florence, and a 45 minute drive to San Gimignano. And there is a delicious restaurant 5 minutes away from the villa. Leonardo, the manager is very gracious and helpful. I especially loved the large pool which is good for lap swimming. And there is a cute Boddega for shopping near by. I had to tear myself away.
