Kir Royal Villa is in St. Jean within a short walk of the beach, shops, and restaurants. The villa enjoys a landscape view, and is wheelchair accessible.
The expansive pool deck is ensconced in tropical gardens, with several areas to recline and soak up the sun. Take a dip in the swimming pool, or enjoy a drink in the unheated Jacuzzi. Wash the day away at the outdoor shower, then cook up a meal on the BBQ grill. Covered dining and lounging areas provide space for guests to recline after a fun-packed day of exploring the island, and the state-of-the-art spa is perfect for renewing the body after a hike or run along the beach. If guests wish to walk down to the beach, beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, and beach towels are all available.
Inside, guests can enjoy a movie in the living room or select a book from the small library. The open floor plan blends this space with the gourmet kitchen, which is fully equipped with ample kitchen appliances and cookware, including a Nespresso machine. Each of the four bedrooms has a king-sized bed or two twin beds that can be converted, as well as ensuite baths. Two of the bedrooms are in the main house, both exterior access only. They each have satellite TV, iPhone docks, and air conditioning. The other two bedrooms are in a separate cottage, with exterior access only. They also have satellite TVs and oPhone docks.
Kir Royal is in a prime location on the island, close to several hot spots and beaches. The layout is well designed for a family or four couples, and everyone will have their own space to spread out.

Summary: Joie de Vivre is a beautiful villa with great views, beach access and friendly staff. The only downside was the mosquitoes. That may have been time of year or that they just got rain after 5 months, not sure but they were bad. We really enjoyed all the different lounging areas around the villa and the grounds are amazing. Really was a great place to stay.

Summary: We had a great time in our villa, and enjoyed the experience very much. Our housekeeper, Cassandra, was amazing and a highlight of the trip. It was a great property for us, as our kids are old enough to handle the separate suites on multiple floors, but this would have been a challenge with younger children. The beach was beautiful, although more rocky than I expected, but this did not cause us any problem. It was also nice to have a local beach bar just a few hundred yards away. Also, it is always a nice day when you can wake up and see Anguilla out of your bedroom window! Our biggest concern would be the safety and security in this area. We did not have a problem, but there were several serious incidents in the week before we arrived and during our stay. The town of Marigot did not feel safe, and I would not want to be there after dark, and I would not let my wife or kids off the property without an escort.
